The bedrock upon which conservatism is founded is belief in the individual and a faith in the American people to get it right more often than not. If the American people stop getting it right, we are lost, because all we have are the government and the American people. We all know the government rarely gets it right.
Close? Ok, I am looking on Wikipedia and it looks like Reagan won 44 states. I only wish it was going to be that close this year. :-D Well, I think McCain will win but it’ll be a lot closer than 1980. I’m sure Carter being lousy was a help, but I think it was easier to win big victories when we had a great candidate like Reagan who people wanted to go vote FOR as well.
You wanna know what African Americans think about American Africans? Very little. And Barak Obama’s family isn’t African-American, they’re American Africans. That’s a dirty little secret Barak wants to hide.

The problem is a poorly informed electorate, thanks to the lying MSM and the Socialist agenda driven NEA.
Most Americans mean well, but have little understanding of what is going on around them.
Our greatest challenge is to get the truth before the people again, in a society where truth is politically incorrect and socially unacceptable.
Oop’s, you’re right. I was going from old memory and for some reason, much closer numbers (popular vote) were stuck in the old memory bank...
