Delegate’s reversal stuns party
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ^ | 06/14/08 | Craig Gilbert

As an avid supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Debra Bartoshevich is not alone in her frustration over Clinton's defeat. She’s not alone in refusing to support Barack Obama. And she’s not entirely alone in saying she’ll vote this fall for Republican John McCain instead. But what makes her unusual is that she holds these views as an elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention

There will be many Clinton supporters who will say things like this, now. Key word being "say".

And then, in November, when the time comes to actually vote, the vast majority of them will vote for the person with the (D) after his name, just as they always do.

We have the same phenomenon in reverse with the anti-McCain folks.

3 days of coverage in Milwaukee on this — I have also heard that she was rapidly removed from the delegation.

Let us hope, that more delegates do the same.

She probably mindlessly supported the sexual predator Clinton x42 just as vehemently. She can be bought. Obama just has to find her price.

Are the dem delegates set in stone before the convention?

Is there a possibility that they can change their minds again about who they should pledge to?

Maybe that is why HRC just suspended her campaign and did not out right quit.

Whatever her reasons may be, I just hope Debra votes for McCain.

I think an inchoate awareness of the danger of electing Obama to the Presidency is stirring in the American electorate. I certainly hope so. If it takes form, a groundswell of rejection of him and his Radical Leftist, anti-American, stalinist schemes will focus the electorate and save America.

I guess this is why obambi is trying to replace current delegates with his own people...

along with moving the dnc headquarters to his state...
(& btw how does a junior senator get away with that???)

of course dat wuz hill's true home state wuzn't it?...
(inquiring minds are inquiring)

way to go obambi!

"Wineke said “almost everybody I know who was for Hillary” is solidly behind Obama now. As for Bartoshevich, he said, “my suspicion is she doesn’t know what she’s getting into” because “the delegates to this convention will be very upset.”

What are they going to do, publicly lynch her??

I would be surprised if the Dems don’t find some way of throwing her out if she persists in this act of treason against them. And I suppose it is their privilege to do so. I am reminded of this pro abort feminist from one of the suburban towns around here who actively supported liberal Democrat candidates even at the time she was *on a Republican town committee!* It was outrageous. I don’t know if they eventually threw her off or if she left but it was ridiculous. She even did a radio commentary endorsing the incumbent Democrat congresswoman, and two other pro abortion Dems running for office just because the Republican candidates were pro life. Sadly she was one of many so called suburban “moderate” Republicans who left the party because they preferred squishy moderates and didn’t like it when Reagan style conservatism took over.

Anyway, this woman backing McCain probably will catch holy h-ll from the Dems. But if some Republican delegate were to break ranks and come out for Obama the national media would be full of stories about this courageous person of principle who is doing the right thing, etc etc.

Don’t worry, the Dem Convention will be a lovefest. This delegate will be converted again and return to the Dem fold announcing her wholehearted support for Obama.

You are right!

Wis. Democrats move to dump delegate over McCain support (AP story in the Chicago Tribune)
"It's extremely important that we send a message that Democrats in the state of Wisconsin will never support somebody who supports John McCain for president," state party chairman Joe Wineke said to cheers among the hundreds of party activists.

Those Wis. Dems move fast.

Watch McCain step all over himself to move further left to welcome them.
