Everyone, including his most avid supporters, are continually trying to get McCain to change his spots (positions on the issues).

The problem with this, is that McCain's history shows no willingness on his part or behavior patterns that would support the idea that he would ever do something like this.

We are stuck with this Pig of a candidate that everyone is trying to put lipstick on to try and camouflage what a lousy candidate he is.

Six words that would elect McCain in a landslide (if he said them and meant them):

Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.

From the article"

"2) Ban the color green. Not only is it a less-than-flattering hue for McCain; but it implies a kinship with an anti-oil, anticoal, antidrilling, antieconomic-growth agenda."

I have always been of the belief that RED,WHITE & BLUE should and does trump "green" EVERY TIME.

This has now become a NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE !!!

IMHO, McCain AND the RNC need to push it as such ASAP!!

(...ummmm...I don't think I'm gonna do the "hold my breath 'till they do" thingee on this one....)

4)....Obama’s seeming willingness to go ahead with capping carbon emissions even if India and China—America’s two main economic rivals of the future—take a pass. I can almost hear McCain now: “Senator Obama’s policies would be tantamount to unilateral disarmament in our economic competition with our global competitors. It is another example of his naiveté.”

You will never hear McCain say that because he doesn’t understand it nor believe in it. We had a Republican candidate that said exactly that during a powerful economic speech in Detroit, but since he was a MORMON the self righteous, my G*d is better than yours and I am more Christian the you conservatives(many here on FR)turned their backs on him and now we are stuck with an old, used up, warmed over moderate Democrat, 24 year Washington insider as our Republican candidate. A man who admits he knows nothing about the economy and proves it daily. He also seems to knows nothing about the countries energy needs. Quit hoping that McCain is going to become anything other than what he as always been. You usually get the government you deserve, deal with it.

Unfortunately McCain does not wish to upset the environmentalists by drilling. No hope on this issue....
