Haven’t read through to the last post, but you mentioned Webb of VA for VP wouldn’t fool anyone as to Obama’s position on gun control, etc. I’ve read and heard that Webb has a pro-Confederacy problem that beats George Allen’s all to pieces, and he stated it so publicly it can’t be denied.

Well that takes that issue off the table for this election then. Elections are about differences not similarities. Obama wants to pull out of Iraq, give up on the WoT, give up our nukes, gut our military and rescind the Bush tax cuts. That's more than enough for me to vote for John McCain.

DNC seeks FEC action on McCain

The DNC said it plans to file suit in federal court in the coming weeks. A similar lawsuit was tossed in May after a judge ruled that the party hadn't waited the required 120 days for the FEC to take action.

My brother’s been a Republican all his life (though he’s never voted)... He’s come to hate Bush because of the Iraq war... This year, he sees H as the messiah. He’s voting for the first time in his life... I’m disgusted...

I have an aunt and several cousins -- all pro-life, center-right or conservative voters -- who are considering voting for Obama the Messiah "because of the war" and "because McCain is too old, and he wants to be in Iraq for 100 years". I'm absolutely stunned and disgusted... there must be something in the water...
