You're not familiar with what the Contract With America promised, are you?

Did you not read the article? You completely missed the point. The Constitution is the only contract needed with America. No other is needed if the powers to be abide by it instead of obsessing for more power.Unfortunately the GOP has forgotten this principle as stated in the second paragraph:

This analysis is somewhat novel in method, but can be considered factually correct, as we see that there are a vast Number of legislators whose primary goal is to remain in office, at the expense of all else. This leads to one of Armey's concluding statements; that "In the end the Republican Congress - in the two or three years leading up to the Democratic victories in 2006 - had utterly forsaken its commitment to liberty and limited government with the often active acquiescence of the White House."

It is obvious the GOP like their socialist Democrat brethren are trying to pretend they are for the people while using any means possible to gain power. Unfortunately Republicans have increasingly succumbed to the false premise the only way to gain power is by appealing to socialists and it is obviously working as now Clinton supporters are increasingly for McCain. Empowering the very group of people who seek to destroy our Democracy is a losing strategy.

I agree, but you do realizing for the first time in 40 years the repubs took control of congress because of the CWA and it CONSERVATIVE priciples.

Since then the repubs led by Bush have become moderate/rino skanks who need a can of whoopass opened up on them by conservatives.

Yes, I read the article. And, no, I didn't miss the point.

My mistake was responding to your mistaken notion, thus entering into this irrelevant exchange.
