When a 15-year-old at Gloucester HS in Massachusetts learned she was pregnant a few months ago, there were no tears.
Shown her positive pregnancy test, the girl said simply, "Sweet!"
And she rushed off to tell her classmates - 17 of whom are also pregnant, none of them older than 16.
The baby boom is the result of what the school principal described last week as a "pregnancy pact."
"Some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," principal Joseph Sullivan said. "We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy."

Is this the wonderful “socialization” that homeschoolers are missing?
Metmom, this is **definitely** Another Reason to Homeschool!

Well, when you keep shoving sex in their faces and accomodate them, what do you expect?Thank you.
Nothing surprising in their thought patterns, given the education and socialism they've been taught, is there?

Do these girls have anything else in common, that might explain this bizarre lemming-like behavior?

In a socialist state, you gotta make your decisions early. You either decide to go to college and get involved in the science of delivering social services or you do decide not to go to college and go on the dole. The beauty is if you choose the latter, you do not have to wait years to realize the outcome of your choice, you can do it now. Give these girls credit, they figured out the system quickly, and was able to game it as soon as they did.

Please, please, please stop your teenage daughters from watching Cable TV. The shows that are the worse are MTV, VH1, The E-Channel, and many others too many to mention. These shows are Poison! If you do not believe me then watch them. Kids are exposed to these shows all the time. This stuff is actually worse than hard core pornography! Learn how to block these shows or get rid of cable TV altogether.Nothing has been worse for our kids than watching these shows.

"Some girls" must have noticed that our leadership is getting to be rather short, slow and narrow in the shoulders. ;-)

By the time they are between the ages of 32-37 they’ll be single moms with a couple of kids. They don’t have foresight at 15-16-17. They’ll also look older than their chronicle age when they reach their mid 30’s. I wonder how many of them are straight A students? There is definitely something missing in their lives, like both parents.

I’m sure you mean little kids. If you start prohibiting it by the time they’re in their teens, it’s already too late.

I'm assuming the schools get more money for the babies? As far as I'm concerned ...teenage parents should be dismissed from school. It should be an automatic expulsion for both parents. They can home school or get their GED but the dad needs to go to work and the mom needs to be home with the baby. Expect adult responsibility. Don't glamorize pregnancy for the other kids.

I mean little kids AND teenagers. Both are at risk when watching these shows. The Disney Channel is also bad for other reasons. It is infused with PC Politics, junk science, etc.

Teenage pregnancies didn’t happen in the past, before Bill Clinton got in the White House and spread his immorality throughout the land.
