I saw a story on this on 60 Minutes last night. Astounding!
The dying media would be able to catch its breath if they would simply dive deep and report this ridiculous spending by government. A half billion tax dollars to people who take 3 hour lunches.
Hmmm...winning hearts and minds by wasting money on tv.
How about not wasting money subsidizing Israel’s wicked wars on its neighbors.

Media has a massive impact on public perception. That’s a given. So, how do you manipulate the media in the Middle East?
1. A channel that oozes American patriotism, the Bible and apple pie? Nope. They’ll immediately tune this out. It’s alien and it’s foreign, with no immediate relevance or impact to their daily lives or (perceived) grievances.
2. A channel that is only thinly removed from the typical propaganda the region takes in, but with a better-than-nothing leaning closer to what America wants them to believe.
I mean, you can piss and moan about all the garbage that they have to play on this station ... but it seems like the best way to get the message out. To the detractors: come up with something better or swallow the bitter pill and move on.

They'll be too busy deciding when cousin Larry can go to the Doctor for that Farm Accident he had that ripped his arm off at the elbow in the Bailing Machine, and would sort of like it reattached sometime this decade.
They could get sponsors like - 'Burkas by Betty', 'Suicide Vests For Less' and 'Payless Bomb Store'
