A lifetime of hard work, reduced to a gender identification. Ahh, liberals must be so proud...

Good for her. The more women in top jobs, the less anyone can claim that “sexism” or bigotry is holding people back.

I have heard that people’s attitudes about affirmative action could change if Obama is elected president. Reason being, people may think about it and say, if a black man can be elected president, then the discrimination of the past is gone, and there’s no need for affirmative action any longer.

The same is true with women being police chiefs, fire chiefs (the fire chief of San Diego is a woman for example), and other highly visible jobs. If you see a woman or minority in a top level job, obviously discrimination didn’t stop them from getting there.

Ha! Hilarious! Will...never...ever...happen. You see, here in ORlando for example, we recently got our first female Police Chief. Yay!! Plus, she is an African American, female police chief! No big deal right?

It might be to some when they consider that she was appointed by our Democrat Mayor, who made the appointment when the last chief (Michael McCoy) resigned to become the county's public safety director. And guess who McCoy was replacing as county safety director? JERRY Demings, the husband of VAL Demings. JERRY Demings was the Orlando Police Chief himself, from 1998 to 2002. JERRY Demmings is now running for Orange County Sheriff.

So basically, "payback" appointments and backroom deals putting the same tired faces into positions of power knows no racial barriers.

In just a few short months Orlando just might be blessed with a bla...er African American Sheriff and with an African American Police Chief at the same time! THEN we can FINALLY say America is not a totally corrupt, sexist and racist enclave! Or, no...probably not. IT WILL NEVER END!!! GET used to it!

Wrong!

Having paid some attention to this local matter, it appears this was simply a gender assignment.

The most qualified person did not get the job.

The two other final applicants were far more experienced than this woman.

Orange County politics is moving leftward, and has been for some time.

Sometimes, it is quite the opposite. Discrimination is what got them there.

Don't get me wrong, I've never looked at it as man/woman, majority/minority. If the person is qualified, I never even question it.

If she won’t be caught on tape screwing one of her boyfriends in a van outside her son’s soccer game or arranging slush fund money in coffee shops, it will be a major improvement.
