I think we all stunk it up this week. That finish kinda put the icing on the cake.

I liked the look on Smoke’s face when he was interviewed. Seemed like he wanted to tell the guy “what the heck kind of stupid question is that?” Also, he kept looking all over the place while the guy was “prefacing” his question, like he knew this was going to take a while. :-)

ATTENTION ALL LEAGUE PLAYERS... Nascar has penilized the 42 car 2 laps for making a unsafe left turn and he is scored 32nd. Yahoo has also taken action by reducing your scores by 25 points if you had JPM on your team...

I thought it was dumb that Montoya admitted to it, but he's pretty blunt in his interviews, so I'm not surprised. He says what he feels, NASCAR be damned, and NASCAR is then forced to do something.

The group of people I watched it with, one of them had only been watching a few years. They are shocked every time somebody deliberately wrecks somebody else. I'm not saying the wussification of NASCAR is complete, but it's a good thing that Earnhardt Sr. isn't around to see the state of NASCAR and its Stepford Drivers.

Maybe "dumb" is a harsh word to use. To put it another way, JPM was so honest about what he did, that he put NASCAR in a position such that they had to do something and couldn't ignore it. The fact that they had somebody tell the media last night that there would be no other punishments tells you they didn't really care.

As a matter of fact, NASCAR probably wouldn't mind having Busch get knocked out a few times and drop his points lead a bit.
