I can’t believe that Mugabe was ever knighted, but as recently as 14 years ago? You’d think the British would have known better.

stripped of a medal..

Oh Yeah, That’ll show him.

Hey Queen, How about ya park about 50 British warships and loaded troop carriers off the east coast of afrika and give Mugabe 48 hours to leave.

The history of that area includes a lot of prior British intervention and such so it’s not like ya don’t have road maps and info about the place.

stripped of his honorary British knighthood

doesn't sound like England is very discriminating when passing around the badge of knighthood... not too sure I want to be one or even a Noble Peace Prize winner...

Any comment from BO or Nelson Mandela ?

Nelson Mandela has charmed Queen Elizabeth as she welcomed him to Buckingham Palace.

I have very little, actually no doubt that his Knighthood was totally because he was Black and a Communist. Modern Western Countries seem to just swoon over the combination.

The bastard has a special pit in hell waiting for him. He’s kept an antire nation crushed and broken under his rule long enough.

I think Chirac in France could find no one to have dinner with and Mugabe was one of his last State Dinners guest.

“bestowed on Mugabe by the former colonial power 14 years ago - on the recommendation of Foreign Secretary David Miliband.”

A decision he will be called on to defend “it seemed like a good idea at the time” no doubt.

And why hasn’t this response come sooner? Like YEARS ago?

What is revolting is that he got the Knighthood in the first place! He did not just start doing these horrible things!

An Ego thing of the Queen’s. Appeasement, etc, to keep them in the Commonwealth.

He’s been a rampaging dictatorial buzzard for 27 years. And the Queen’s just now revoking his knighthood. Makes a person wonder.

These days the Queen does what the government tells her to do, although she does it with more dignity.

So the blame for giving this Maoist murderer and thief a knighthood in the first place is owing to the Labour Government.

Honorary knighthood has become a friggin joke.

Sir Laurence Olivier was cool.
Sir (Grand Dame ?) Elton John is disgusting.

Time to end that crap.

Call on the colonies to help, specifically Canadian Corporal Rob Furlong.

Then they can re-rename it Rhodesia and re-rename the capital Salisbury. An awful lot of the population believes it was much better off under Ian Smith.
