Yeah, like when they (the Log Cabin Republicans) refused to endorse President G W Bush in September 2004 -- two months before that election? They did so specifically because Bush supported the marriage amendment. You know, "one man, one woman."

Keep telling yourself the LCRs are conservatives, and while you're at it call yourself one, too, for supporting their agenda.

Supporting amending the US constitution is not a very conservative principle. In extreme circumstances it is necessary, but should be considered a sacred document. Anything not in the constitution should be left to the states.

Would I care if the US constitution were amended to recognize marriage as one man one woman? No, because that's what I believe. I believe it should be done at the state level only and individual states can decide on what types of marriage they recognize.

As I never said they were conservatives, and as we were discussing getting them to vote for a candidate, rather than discussing their issues, your comment is a non-sequitor.
