Woman Received Social Security For Several Years, Despite Status
A 74-year-old illegal immigrant from Stockton pleaded guilty Wednesday to theft of government property, U.S. attorney McGregor W. Scott said.
Ramona Soto, also known as Feliciana Cortez Castro, crossed the border from Mexico into California sometime around 1960. At some point before 1968, she obtained the birth certificate of a United States citizen and applied for and received a Social Security card, Scott said.
Soto applied for and began getting Social Security benefits in 2000.
Scott said between 2000 and 2007, Soto fraudulently received approximately $30,400 in Title II benefits.
Undocumented, illegal immigrants are not entitled to such benefits, Scott said.
Soto has not yet been sentenced.

They probably caught her when the real owner of the SS card applied.
Don’t lock her up. Send her immediately back to her country of origin. And, while they’re at it, take everything she’s accumulated since 1960....no sympathies because she stole from our childrens’ futures..
This illegal alien was dumb. Instead of defrauding the federal government she should have know that California has a program set up especially for her.

I say make an example out of her. The article says she came across the border of Mexico, but not that she is Mexican. I say drop her off on the southern border of Guatemala.

She should have stayed illegal. That would of assured her of not being sent home.
It says she never became a citizen. She just stole someone’s birth certificate. Document fraud as well as theft and illegal entry. Back to Mexico, Senora.
