Why :iberals Lie About What They Believe
Town Hall ^ | June 27, 2008 | John Hawkins

Once you've watched liberals long enough to understand how they think -- scratch that, how they feel -- they become extraordinarily predictable.

To begin with, the liberal agenda is, in many respects, the same as it was in the thirties. Whether you call it communism, fascism, socialism, liberalism, or progressivism, the only real difference is how much they believe they can get away with, the way they sell it to people, and the latest trendy name for what they believe.

So, once the liberals pick a policy from their stale program to push, the next step is to get it implemented. This is where liberals have problems because whether a policy makes sense, is practical, or actually improves people's lives is of secondary importance to them. What is important to liberals is whether supporting or opposing that policy makes them feel good about themselves.

So, if you want to know what liberals want to do, their words mean absolutely nothing because lying about their agenda has become as natural to them as chasing a cat is to a dog.

So prophetic and right on.

I've seen San Fran Nan (Pelosi) twice, over the past week, look right into the camera and lie through her teeth to the point that her botoxed-injected, face was twitching like a squirrel's tail.

As the old saying goes, if a liberals lips are moving--they are lying!!!

It’s in layers: scratch a Liberal and underneath is a Communist; scratch a Communist and underneath is a New World Order manipulator.

Mixed in with them are a motley crew of nihilists, back-to-the-cavers, environmentalists.

IMHO, the fact that they do lie...and now that their lies can be EASILY exposed in alternative media, a good shareholders attorney could easily make the argument that the Board has failed to ensure adequate editorial oversight resulting in significant loss of value to shareholders.

[this no-drilling is not about the environment, it’s about hurting our economy and forcing us to all use mass transit where they can control our freedom.]

It is also about (some) who are glad when our economy sucks and are intentionally laboring to the detriment of our country.

Furthermore, the Lib/Socialist/Rats WANT the economy to stay stagnant or even, worsen, (especially now, due to high energy costs) as they are convinced they can lay most of the blame (thanks to their partners-in-crime, the corrupt, in-the-tank, MSM, who will espouse the DhimiCrats lies and talking points) on Bush/Republicans/Conservatives and hope to ride Americans' misery, right into the White House and an increased majority in Congress.

Shameless, charlatans, all!!!

I had an amazing discussion this week with two Obama FANATICS who hated Bush, McCain, etc., yet vehemently denied they were liberals. They asked why I insisted on calling them liberals (one finally copped to being a lib, the other that she "used to be" but was "more conservative" now, though not on abortion, gun control, Obama, etc.), and I asked them if they weren't able to determine by seeing how one votes whether or not he/she was liberal or conservative.

They couldn't name a damned thing Obama wanted to do, but both swooned over how well he speaks in public, "and I put a lot of stock in that," one said.

I told her "I consider a liberal someone who votes for Obama because he reads speeches real well."

That one is great also. Those should be printed in color card stock and mailed to every voter.

Why :iberals Lie About What They Believe
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

COMMUNISTS always lie.

And...”liberals” always were, are now, and always will be one of two things: COMMUNISTS or USEFUL IDIOTS!

I am so pleased to see this article published on Town Hall.

So?.....When are the “Talking Pumpkin Head” of talk radio going to start using only word that really fits? COMMUNISM! Except for Michael Savage they are bunch of weenies.

Marxists have no problem believing two contradictory things at the same time, so they should have no problem lying when necessary to advance their cause.

There are only two kinds: Communists and Useful Idiots.

These air heads fall into the category of “Useful Idiot”!

The communists among them would kill us if they could. They just can’t get away with it...( yet!). The Useful Idiots would do thinking it was saving the whales.

They couldn't name a damned thing Obama wanted to do, but both swooned over how well he speaks in public, "and I put a lot of stock in that," one said.

I wonder what would have happened if you had, after this remark, replied "yeah, but isn't the excitement you have when you hear him speak in public, isn't that more of a feeling than a reasoned reaction?"

I'm not putting it quite the way I'd like here. But that article did give me a clue as to how to deal with this kind of person. The clue is this: listen to them until you discover the "feeling" in their position. Then gently point it out, in a way that is calculated to not engage their ego and cause them to become defensive. This may mean that you don't try to "win" the argument. Instead, you try to reveal the truth to them just a little; your goal is for them to think about the exchange later, when they're not in a one-on-one argument that they may feel they have to win. Maybe, in the quiet of their own thoughts, they will remember the exchange with you and begin to question their reliance on feeling instead of thinking.

Like I’ve said,

a liberal approaches a policy issue and thinks about it as a 12 yr old girl would.

“Is this policy ‘nice’, or ‘mean’”?
