What makes you think he can't be recalled if he screws up too?

Don’t worry, it’s not going to happen. People are upset, yes, but it’s more a pack mentality thing right now than anything else. It’s cool to be mad at the evil government but there is no way Jindal is getting recalled.

Because if Blanco couldn’t be recalled nobody can. I’m sure you led the effort to recall her so you know how hard it is.

Because Louisiana has a history of embracing their corrupt Democrat politicans. They have run the place for the better part of the past century. Old Mitch Landrieu will just game the system where he can't be recalled. Worked for Edwin Edwards, Huey P. Long, Jimmie Davis, Earl K Long.. the list goes on and on and on...

LOL. Lots of heads exploding. I look for Jindal to fold and veto about next Thursday afternoon or thereabouts. The day before the holiday so he hopes no one notices.

BTW, reckon who whined to the moderators? I had originally posted this in breaking news for which it certainly qualifies.

Ain’t me. I live in Ruston, which is shown in my profile. And I’m in the phone book should anyone ever like to call and visit a while.

No one ‘whined to the mods’. This isn't breaking. A quick check of Google shows stories about this for about a week.

The “breaking” part is the recall petition just today filed against Jindal. All the Louisiana news sites are carrying this as headlines and it will be the lead on the 6pm newscasts.

But of course I defer to your judgment.

“No going back now.”

Once they have crossed to the dark side there is no going back.

Yes, I know.

Perhaps I should have emphasized that I was listening to local conservative talk radio. That's why I was so surprised.

Jindal just became governor and 6 tax cuts have passed already in those few short months. Also a private school voucher program passed and that’s just a few off the top of my head. Those are very conservative actions. So you are lying and spinning and I just think you are a Democrat operative.

How in the hell are you going to stop the flow of corruption when your elected officials passing laws make $8.00 an hour?

. Expect them to behave honorably ? Is it really asking too much ?

The job is voluntary, after all.

He still may be a 1 term Gov.

He can stop all this by signing his name,,,

There’s always a few of the thread-police around...;0)

Louisiana Gov Jindal Recall Petition Continues Bad PR Days

Written by: BayouBuzz Staff

A recall petition has been filed against Governor Bobby Jindal on Friday. The petition is the latest blow in what Bayoubuzz is calling Pay Raise Gate.

Bayoubuzz asked two political analysts pollster about the significance of the petition:

Bernie Pinsonat of Southern Media And Opinion Research

“This started out as a spark became a brush fire and now a bigger fire. I am not surprised. This is what happens when you are asleep at the switch and don’t take care of business like he should have done when the bill was going through the legislative process”.

“The monumental disaster is his letting this controversy getting started and a daily PR problem has now occurred”.

“I think this has turned out to be a credibility issue with the voters of Louisiana for not keeping his promise and in their minds he has the responsibility to kill bad legislation and he promised he would kill this type of legislation when he ran for Governor. So, the problem is between the voters and him and it is certainly damaging to him.

“I doubt people are going to go out in the streets and yell recall but he has had ten or fifteen bad days in a row”

Clancy Dubos of Gambit Weekly

“I think the filing reflects a level of disappointment with Bobby Jindal as Governor and is a stigma on his record. It would certainly be worse if they get about twenty or thirty thousand signatures statewide but they are going to have a hard time doing so. It is like a lawsuit, anybody can file one (a recall petition), but it does reflect the general dissatisfaction people now have with the Bobby Jindal as Governor”.

Jindal has been considered to be on the short list to be John McCain’s VP nominee. Only a few weeks ago, he had been praised locally and nationally and has been considered a rising star in the national Republican Party.
