Sorry if this is old news but this is the first time I've seen this movie. In "Shut Up And Sing" Natalie Maines names FR as the blog that started all thier probelems.
WAY TO GO FR!
Still watching on the Encore Drama channel.
So prime time somewhere in the Pacifc Ocean.
We FReeped them in Boston, I can’t find my AAR, but I believe Electric Srawberry got some screen time.
Obama isn’t a Muslim?
They’re gonna put me in the movies
they’re gonna make a big star out of me
We’ll make a film about a man that’s sad and lonely
and all I gotta do is act naturally
Well, I’ll bet you I’m gonna be a big star
might win an Oscar you can never tell
the movies gonna make me a big star
‘Cause I can play the part so well
Well I hope you come and see me in the movies
then I know that you will plainly see
The biggest fool that ever hit the big time
and all I gotta do is act naturally
We’ll make the scene about a man that’s sad and lonely
and beggin down upon his bended knee
I’ll play the part but I won’t need rehearsal
all I gotta do is act naturally
Well, I’ll bet you I’m gonna be a big star
might win an Oscar you can never tell
the movies gonna make me a big star
‘Cause I can play the part so well
Well I hope you come and see me in the movies
then I know that you will plainly see
The biggest fool that ever hit the big time
and all I gotta do is act naturally
The MSM has not been honest about the Dixie Chicks saga. They present Maines and her cohorts as a courageous lot, but they ignore the facts. Once the sh@t hit the fan after Maines’ comments, she offered a kind of half hearted apology. When that didn’t simmer things down, she made a full bore mea culpa. Alas, this didn’t work because fans and radio stations started boycotting their recordings and concerts. About a year or so after her second apology, realizing she had nothing to lose, Maines retracted it and began her crusade as the noble entertainer versus the evil Bush. Of course, if you hate Bush, that doesn’t make a very interesting documentary, so they kinda changed things around a bit.

Perhaps this bit of Freeper CLARITY helped things along a bit?

I never cared for their type of music but the hit they had out at the time they decided to do some bad mouthing was really good. I “would” have bought the album.
From your keys to God's ear...
Last one took over a month to raise the $$.
Such things ought not to be
We need more monthly donors
What she never figured out was that it wasn’t FR. Many of FR were fans. Her fans gave her the cold shoulder.
Natalie Maines makes Michael Moore look anorexic.
Are they still crying about this though? Last I heard they decided country wasn’t for them and were going West to make their fortune.
ROTFL! Ditzy Hicks are at it again!
Who are they. I think they’re a bunch of chickens.
That is SOOOOO crazy!!
FR isn't a blog.
They wanted to have their cake and eat it too. I’m special! Can you say celebrity?
The idea that Free Republic is some monolithic or conspiratorial entity speaking with one voice is beyond absurd. It’s fine that some people love them (the dixie chicks) but it is pure megalomania and narcissism that they should expect to be loved by all. They make their choices and we make ours. Sad that so many Americans are unable to catch the constant misdirection used by the left. But you have to admit that they have been very successful using this tactic and have succeeded in framing the overall debate. And now behold your new messiah...
Nats has a big ass.
I been watching Ice road truckers and Inventerion on A&E that show is out of control LOL! that show on A&E
Even Ice road trucker is pretty cool
