Those who support the killing of God’s babies may be Left, but they are not “Christian.” True Christians know the difference.

Here’s a term that describes exactly what these Obama-supporting Christians ought to be called:

‘Moderate Christians’

From Mathew 25 (forgive the long passage, but I find it interesting that the unrighteous are on the left)

31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Just a note to those on the "Christian Left" - your support of socialism is not YOU giving water, food, clothing, or comfort to the Lord.

It is simply you passing the buck to the government, and authorizing others to use force at your behest to steal property from its rightful owners.

It counts for NOTHING.

The issue of murder of the unborn alone should preclude any true Christian from voting Democrat.

From the sounds of it, “Bishop” Benke will be first in line (as long as a papist will walk him up to the Obamassiah...)

an effort to reach out to young evangelicals

I guess "young evangelicals" would be some of those people born because their parents were "punished with a child," in Obamunist newspeak.

Gee, the “Emergent Church” lines up with Obama. What a shock. *sarcasm*

No surprise McLaren is involved with this. His buddy Shane “capitalism creates poverty” Claiborne and his happy heretics are currently doing a bus tour for their book Jesus For President... which is really an Obama for President traveling rally, as, don’t you know, Republicans aren’t REALLY for Jesus. Don’t mention any sin other than “social justice” sins though. That’s judgmental to the Emergents, although voting for Republicans is one of the few things they recognize as sin.

Matthew 25's name is inspired by a biblical passage, in the 25th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, in which Jesus says, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink."

"I was pregnant and you ripped the child from my womb." Somehow I don't recall reading that in the Scriptures.

Compare and contrast:

“Jesus is ready to set us free from the heavy yoke of an oppressive way of life. Plenty of wealthy Christians are suffocating from the weight of the American Dream, heavily burdened by the lifeless toil and consumption we embrace. This is the yoke from which we are being set free. And as we are liberated from the yoke of global capitalism, our sisters and brothers in Guatamala, Liberia, and Sri Lanka will also be liberated. Our family overseas, who are making our clothes, growing our food, pumping our oil, and assembling our electronics–they too need to be liberated from the empire’s yoke of slavery. Their liberation is tangled up with our own. The new yoke isn’t easy. (It’s a cross, for heaven’s sake.) But we carry it together, and it is good and leads us to rest, especially for the weariest traveler.”

Shane Claiborne and Chris Haw, from Jesus for President

“Capitalism is the way of the devil and exploitation. If you really want to look at things through the eyes of Jesus Christ — who I think was the first socialist — only socialism can really create a genuine society.”

Hugo Chavez

Just like clockwork. Every time a national election rolls around, we start hearing about how religious the Democrat candidates are, and the media loves it. Of course, if the Republican candidate tries this, they’ll be slammed as ‘intolerant’ or ‘too Christian’.

There is no such thing as a moderate Christian. You either serve the Lord or man.
