Rush's Comment on the NRA 7/1/8
Rush Limbaugh ^ | 7/1/8 | Rush

Posted on 07/01/2008 2:19:15 PM PDT by Varmint Al

For all the people who might think the NRA is ineffective, take a listen to the last few seconds of Rush's third hour today.

I was glad to hear Rush say this. It is a very short .mp3 clip so as Rush would say, listen fast.

Al,

Repubs dont get it.

On another note....should I keep my 700 LVSF Fireball in original config, or should I ream it to a 40 deg shoulder for even more? I get about 3500fps w/ 16g of Lil’Gun.

I just listened to Rush. How true.

The left don’t want to make it an issue (until after the election) is right on.

I think they will go after the manufacturers. How do we fight that?

I got a life membership for Christmas and intend to keep donating as we move towards November.

Just about anything anti-Obama gets my money, but the NRA/NRA-ILA get more.

I'm guessing that the anti-gun Dems (and a few anti-gun Republicans as well!) are standing around with their mouths hanging open right about now. They probably thought that the NRA would just go away and leave them alone after Heller.

SURPRISE!!

This Benefactor Life member will send MY NRA some dollars towards that $40 million war chest, but I HOPE and PRAY that they give ONLY to pro-gun REPUBLICANS. Demonrats, whether they SAY they support the 2nd or not, can NOT be trusted, and will only add to the power of the left-wing anti-gun scumbags that really run the dem party.

Predates it actually -- ask the Gorebot how he lost his home state of TN!!! I'm just fine with it coming back, though. Might even send some dough to NRA-ILA...

Thanks I went to NRA-ILA site.
I will be more attentive and support in in way I can.

Speaking of the way they will try and take down gun manufacturers and bullet makers..... read this
Encoded Ammunition”/Bullet Serialization story at

http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=227/

And...
On the Second Amendment, Don’t Believe Obama!
The presidential primary season is finally over, and it is now time for gun owners to take a careful look at just where apparent nominee Barack Obama stands on issues related to the Second Amendment. During the primaries, Obama tried to hide behind vague statements of support for “sportsmen” or unfounded claims of general support for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
But his real record, based on votes taken, political associations, and long standing positions, shows that Barack Obama is a serious threat to Second Amendment liberties.

The NRA shoots from the hip, the shoulder or quick draw. The yellow spined republican party runs for cover in the RNC bunker and shakes like a little lamb with wolves hovering around. The stinking worthless republican party could take lessons from the NRA and 2d Amendment Foundation on HOW TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS UNDER THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS - INSTEAD OF ASSISTING, AIDING AND ABEDDING THE STINKING SOCIALISTS OF THE MARXIST DIMOCRAT PARTY IN TEARING DOWN THIS REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!! The republican party can go to hell. Till they return to the party of Reagan, I will NEVER, NEVER give them one damned cent, or ruble, whichever it is the dims have as currency in 2009.

If your Fireball is accurate, I would wait until the barrel is shot out (could take quite a while) and then when you get a new Stainless Steel barrel have it chambered for the Fireball with the 40 degree shoulder and a "Match" neck. You would have to neck turn the brass, but it should be very accurate.

223 ACKLEY IMPROVED.... This is my Encore with the full bull 25" overall length stainless steel fluted barrel with a removable muzzle brake from Virgin Valley Custom Guns (no longer in business). It is a hummer. The rifle including scope and carrying strap weighs 11 pounds. The buttstock and forearm are from Bullberry and are "Utility Wood". The forearm is 13-3/8" long and 2" wide and what Fred at Bullberry calls a beavertail forearm. I have fire formed 250 brass for it. It shoots very well with the 40 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips Moly. The barrel has a Tasco 8-32X by 50mm World Class Plus scope on it shown in the picture.

This is one fine shooting rifle. The 223AI is a great caliber.

NRA was initially opposed to Parker (which became Heller). They lean more to legislatitive action, and compromise. Or so it was in the not very distant past.

However they didn't waste time going after anti gun/anti military Gay Francisco and Hiz Honor da Mayar's Chicago after the Supreme Court declared the second amendment to protect an *individual* right. They filed Five(5) lawsuits against SF, Chicago and three Chicago 'burbs.

I meant to add that there is already a web site, the same law firm that conducted the Heller case, for the Chicago case. Only this one is the Second Amendment Foundation and the Illinois State Rifle Association with Gura & POssessky being the law firm.

The NRA has only compromised when we were on the losing side. You don’t see any compromising now, do you?

I also want to thank the Second Amendment for joining the lawuits with the NRA. If there are any members on FR, you guys are doing good.

Folks, you need to be stockpiling weapons and ammo as much as you can before the gubberment takes it away. The SCOTUS did not strike down gun laws in general in fact they affirmed that States could regulate. Hopefully the NRA will overturn these laws but who knows.

Stockpile now !!!!

Actually, some states go even further than the U.S. Bill of Rights. Pennsylvania for instance;

That the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the state; and as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination, to, and governed by, the civil power.

Stockpiling is a good idea, but moving to a pro-gun state (i.e. Montana, Texas, etc.) is an even better idea. You think restrictive gun laws will ever take hold in Texas? HA! Not in a million years.
