“He’s looking for free publicity”

which begs the question: why did Fox give him a platform in the first place?

With this kind of committment, what chance will a dead blond have getting air time on Fox?

What a great question. BWAH!

So, by the same logic, Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, Mat Damon, ETC. are all brilliant because they are overpaid.
Got it.

As usual you venture off into irrelevancy. It isn't about Hollywood actors being 'brilliant' because they are overpaid, but the fact is (and facts seem to be something you have trouble with) that Rush Limbaugh has an established record of performance. Consistently reaching in excess of 20 million listeners each and every day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, that translates into massive influence, immense commercial power, and he's been performing consistently at that level for 20 years.

Name some other broadcast talent with that level of performance and consistency.

And note that Limbaugh has been producing the kind of ratings numbers that his broadcast peers would kill for, and maintaining that level of performance while the newspaper industry has been swirling the tank.

Your problem is that you don't like the guy, and that's your right, nobody holds a gun to your head and makes you listen to Rush Limbaugh, you tune him out and that's fine.

But over 20 million of your fellow Americans DO tune him in, and that is because they agree with a great many of his positions, not all, but many.

If you really had the courage of your convictions, you would a.) find a way to refute and disprove Limbaugh's views, prove that *your* views are in fact correct and superior.

Or you could b.) just make lame left-wing style jokes about oxycontin, and sneers about "little tin godlets" and demonstrate your own intellectual vacuum.

Clearly, you have opted for 'Plan B'.

It’s something for Hannity and Colmes to squabble about this evening.

Oh, I like him fine, I try to catch an hour of the show every day.

It's just folks worshipping him that I can't stand.

It is only a radio show after all, just that and nothing more.

Never heard of him.

He is a partner in the firm of Levin/Papantonio of Pensacola Florida. Levin made so much money from the tobacco settlement that he donated a large some to the U of FL and they named the law school after him.

I think Papantonio is nothing but marxist scum. I do not under stand how an attorney who has supposedly studied the U.S. constitution can turn so far to the left.I guess they are not intelligent enough to prevent the brainwashing by their Marxist professors.

How do you define 'worship' as it applies to fans of Rush Limbaugh?

It is only a radio show after all, just that and nothing more.

A radio show with 20 million listeners and enough political influence to make a difference in national elections.

And did I mention a radio show worth 400 million dollars? Don't delude yourself, no corporation pays out that kind of money unless they've seen the product, seen the performance of the product, and believe in the product.

Oh, I like him fine, I try to catch an hour of the show every day

Why would you listen to some oxycontin user, someone you give every impression of looking down your nose at?

Oh, him!

I saw him in the men’s room at a rest area...he had a wide stance.

You keep bringing that up. It's nice you are impressed by it.

Why would you listen to some oxycontin user, someone you give every impression of looking down your nose at?

Because the show is entertaining.

Not gospel, not words to live by, not the ultimate last word on anything.

Just entertainment.

But hey.. you worship as you see fit.

More people hear me calling my dog to come inside in the morning than hear Mike Papantonio on the radio.

F&F should have ask Mike the mouth how large his audience is and what is the size of his last contract.

I think any sane person would be impressed with an accomplishment like that. Now a person with envy issues, maybe not, they would tend to belittle or downplay it because they might not be able to handle it.

Why would you listen to some oxycontin user, someone you give every impression of looking down your nose at?
Because the show is entertaining.

If Limbaugh establishes the *facts* about any given issue, and if those facts are unable to be refuted, then what he has said most certainly IS "the last word".

Just entertainment.

For someone who apparently has issues, 'entertainment' is probably all it is to you.

But hey.. you worship as you see fit.

There you go again, assuming something not in evidence. For the record, I worship Almighty God in the person of His Son Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords, and no other.

We're done here.

There is an "Operation Chaos Devotional Shrine" for sale at Limbaugh's site.

I think it's around $75.00, plus shipping.

It comes with an official EIB kneeling rug. ;-)

Have a good evening.
