SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 25, 2008 -- PetroSun, Inc. (Other OTC:PSUD.PK - News) announced today that the company has advanced as a team member to the award consideration phase for the development of jet fuel derived from algae. We anticipate the final award negotiation process to commence after June 30, 2008. "Our shareholders should be aware of the important role PetroSun has ascended to within the algae based sustainable fuels industry," stated Gordon LeBlanc, Jr., CEO of PetroSun. "It is frustrating that we are restricted to this generic release of information today based solely on the current status of the alternative jet fuel program. Being a team player is something we understand; being politically correct is not on our agenda during what should be a period of an all out effort to succeed in the development of global sustainable energy resources. PetroSun will continue to move forward independently and with industry partners to fulfill the commercial promise of algae derived biofuels."

I saw info about this company on FR a couple months ago and have been watching them with interest to see if this turns into anything.

If nothing else, I love their CEO's attitude!

From what I have read algae is a completely different world from corn fuels/ethanol which are a disaster.

One important difference is algae doesn’t take away from our arable land.

Exactly, it could be one part of the equation, but we still have to drill like mad and soon or pay the price.

The negative element in using algae for fuel is keeping the McCormick Harvester and Binder from snaring and stringing up tuna, porpoise, sardines and whales. There goes another chink in our food pyramid

These folks have produced lots of press releases but not much else. Well, there is a reclaimed shrimp pond in Texas that looks good on the web page.

This advance won't be cheered and will have a very short half-life in what little media that mention it on page 49D because it solves too many of their alarmist demands. This proves those demands are driven by a further agenda to reduce our power and prosperity via suppression of economic activity.

Some investors from La Jolla rent an office on Camelback Road and generate press releases. Not much info. on their financials either.
