he said he was on a ship passing through the Suez Canal then over to the straits of Horuz and in 1981....they were there for a while and were going to be relieved by another US ship....it was just before Reagan was about to take over...he said all of a sudden a call came over the radio just days before Reagan was set to be President; the hostages had been released and they should ship back to Italy....
Doesn't jibe with what actually happened.
