Police sniffer dogs may be forced to wear bootees when entering mosques and Muslims' homes to avoid causing offence.
The Association of Chief Police Officers has not ruled out
a suggestion that police dogs wear bootees.
In a bid to respect cultural sensitivities, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) is considering the move while drawing up new guidelines on the use of police dogs.
Many Muslims refuse to have direct contact with the animals, which are considered "unclean" in Islamic culture.
An ACPO spokeswoman said current guidelines were being re-drafted, but the suggestion that police dogs wear bootees had not been ruled in or out.

this sort of reminds me...there's a guy in this neighborhood who walks twin fluffballs -- both dyed pink -- and one day a dog not unlike the one in the picture (sans Dog Martens (woof!)) had to be restrained when he caught sight of them.

There’s just something wrong with people who have a cultural hatred for DOGS. We domesticated dogs back in Biblical times. If a whole culture can’t stand dogs I think it just goes to show how truly messed up they are.
Someone I know has a bomb-sniffing dog. She is cleaner, friendlier, and more intelligent than most of CAIR, ICNA, and MSA members put together. And more loyal to America than all of them.
