Good grief. Now the British nanny state is actually warning nursery school teachers to be on the lookout for racist babies.
=============================
"Toddlers who turn their noses up at spicy food from overseas could be branded racists by a Government-sponsored agency.
"The National Childrens Bureau, which receives £12 million a year, mainly from Government funded organisations, has issued guidance to play leaders and nursery teachers advising them to be alert for racist incidents among youngsters in their care.
"This could include a child of as young as three who says 'yuk' in response to being served unfamiliar foreign food.
"The guidance by the NCB is designed to draw attention to potentially-racist attitudes in youngsters from a young age. It alerts playgroup leaders that even babies can not be ignored in the drive to root out prejudice as they can 'recognise different people in their lives'.
"The 366-page guide for staff in charge of pre-school children, called Young Children and Racial Justice, warns: 'Racist incidents among children in early years settings tend to be around name-calling, casual thoughtless comments and peer group relationships.'
"It advises nursery teachers to be on the alert for childish abuse such as: 'blackie', 'Pakis', 'those peopl' or 'they smell'. The guide goes on to warn that children might also react negatively to a culinary tradition other than their own by saying 'yuk'.
"Staff are told: 'No racist incident should be ignored. When there is a clear racist incident, it is necessary to be specific in condemning the action.'
Flash Jr. is not even three yet, and he likes spicy food already. So that won’t make him a racist
He also likes pig blood. So I guess he’s a racist after all.
many years ago I lived in England for about 2 years. I loved it and many of the people.
But without a doubt their form of Government lends itself to socialism in the extreme.
Unfortunately it seems far too many of the citizens in England these days are willing to aloow this to happen to them.
Is this satire? I thought the Telegraph was a relatively reasonable newspaper but it looks more like a tabloid at first glance. Please, please tell me it’s their version of the Onion.
I wonder if they mean ham?
Its this sort of Nanny Government interference in peoples lives that makes people have racist attitudes.
Babies can not be racists because they do not know what it is. However if you punish a child for everything that you perceive could lead them to be racist 20 years later I would think you are going to be the answer to why they are racists....
Yeah. This is a bunch of crap!
I started reading 1984 last night for the first time since high school. I’m 46 now.
30 pages into it and I’m terrified. This is exactly the kind of thing Orwell was warning about.
Their taste-buds are much more sensitive then the idiot force feeding them.
When you receive that much money from the government, you’ve got to pretend that you’re doing something. And lucky for you that you get paid the same even if it’s not worthwhile.
Tax dollars being wasted. Pathetic.
This is so crazy. Babies and toddlers say ‘Yuck’ or turn their head or spit out ANY new food! Any mom who has fed strained peas or sweet potatoes to a baby knows that.
It’s great to feed kids different foods. Indian babies eat curry early on. Many cultures do not believe in the bland jarred baby food diet that many American babies eat and feed their children exactly what they eat. (Plus, breast fed babies are exposed to spice, onion, etc in breast milk). My own kids as toddlers were exposed to seafood, Chinese, Mexican, Italian (and not Taco Bell or Franco-American), all kinds of foods. But it took repeated exposure and tastes to get past ‘Yuck’. That’s a normal reaction to any unfamiliar food.
Will British Commercials next be featuring: "Let's ask Mikey! He won't like em! He hates Everything!!! Hey Mikey!! He Likes em!!"
Some newer rastafarian cereal? Grubs on Toast? Little Mikey pushing the cereal away from him and choosing instead a poi-based "protein" wafer?

It has finally happened: The politically correct crowd has managed to become a caricature of itself. And it would be genuinely funny--in fact, downright hilarious--if not for the utter seriousness with which the new Sensitivity Police take themselves.
The only possible solution is to expel and exile all white and mixed raced people immediately.
