BUBBA WARNS OF POW 'ANGER'
NY Post ^ | July 8, 2008 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Posted on 07/08/2008 8:01:28 AM PDT by fightinJAG

Former President Bill Clinton told an audience that POWs often suffer "anger" long after the incident - which some took as a swipe at Vietnam vet and presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain.

McCain had a beautiful answer when asked about Clintoon's comments this morning of F&F. He said something to the affect that during his time in captivity he had the honor of seeing so many acts of bravery, love, compassion, friendship and that these fellow prisoners are his closest friends now.

I know this is not a McCain friendly place, but do y'all think I will be putting myself and my family in jeopardy if I put a McCain sticker on my SUV? The alternative, BHO, is just too scary.

One of the things that would prolong such anger after service would be how the Press, Peace Activists, and Democrats never get it and often work AGAINST USA military action thereby emboldening our enemies and growing USA soldier body bags and injuries by leaps and bounds.

This stupid mentality that you could (as an example) offer a terrorist a sit down meeting, give a ham sandwich and have a peace is retarded thinking on liberals parts.

Has there ever been a major conflict that has ever been successfully concluded without a military conflict?
If not, why are liberals so interested in sabotaging our efforts and and endangering our troops?

Considering we are ALL supposedly Americians this shouldn't happen. Just shows what slugs some of our current citizens can be these days.
Maybe it is the indoctrinations in schools over the years?
Maybe it is because for so many History started when they were born and we seem to be repeating mistakes not having learned the lessons of the past?

In any case, I think there are VERY good causes all around for most veterans and current soldiers to get mad over.
I for one wouldn't blame them.

The problem isn’t imprisonment or anything else that happens to you. It’s how you release the anger that experience causes. If you bottle it up, an explosion is certainly a real risk. Right now, based on the campaign statements, I would guess the angry ones are Obama and his missus.

How many people that have bucked the Clinton’s have disappeared?

IMHO, the airplane incident was just a warning shot across the bow for Obimbo - maybe next time he won’t be so lucky that is if Hill is not picked for VP. The trailer trash mafia is definately weighing it’s options.

I imagine some people are not equipped to handle war.

I bet McCain could take anything thrown at him.
Actually he has already proved he could.

Clinton would get red faced, throw a tantrum and cry like a big baby.

Clinton is showing his true colors. He is outside the controlled environment of a candidate and President.

Can he make it through the rest of the election without unloading on Obama again? I don’t think he can.

How will the egomaniac/sociopath (who was President for 8 years) handle being second fiddle to the unproven freshman Senator? Is he jealous?

How is he handling the fact that he was not really the first “African-American President”? He seemed so proud of this he put his office in Harlem.

How would he handle being snubbed for a major speech at the convention? Could he behave badly enough to get excluded? I would not be surprised.

Can he handle rejection?

This could get interesting!

Syphilis can make you snap too ... maybe that’s why Bubba gets so red faced and points his finger so inappropriately.

In fact I would be looking at him/her in regards to Obama’s plane problems.

No, if a Klinton had been behind it they'd be scraping Obama out of a crater this morning.

I’m looking at this a little differently....Bill and Hill don’t really want BO to win so why not start out just saying things that will anger large groups like Vets? Start small you know and by the time you are done everyone is upset?

Me, too, but then I got blasted on the other thread. First thing I thought of was--Bubba did this on purpose to hurt Barry and help McCain. It keeps the military issue front and center along with McCain's heroism. And as far as tempers, look who's talking.

Rush just commented on Barry’s plane problems—After all, it was Ft. Marcy Airlines.

Ah, Clinton's comment provides insight as to why he declined service in the US military. The Artful Dodger was simply concerned that he might become a POW, thus depriving him of the proper temperament to one day be POTUS. What a guy, always thinking of his country first.../sarc

Remember when the NYT and the rest of the clueless libs classified Clinton as “brilliant”? Seems we were right - as usual - when we stated that he was simply a big time Bubba who’s never had a real job. Funny how these undereducated types get a law degree and get into politics. Funnier how the MSM finds brilliance there. Could it be that the press represents the bottom of the IQ barrel?

Clinton voided any war-related trauma by lying to his draft board.
