DNC seeks input from public for Democratic platform
The Hill ^ | 7/08/08 | Klaus Marre

Posted on 07/08/2008 5:42:37 PM PDT by mdittmar

The Democratic National Committee announced Tuesday that it is seeking input from the public in all states as it is drafting its 2008 national platform.

The party is asking ordinary Americans to host and attend meetings “as an opportunity to exchange ideas and share perspectives on the challenges we face,” according to a DNC release. The party and the campaign of presidential candidate Sen. Barrack Obama (Ill.) will send policy experts to “as many meetings as possible to serve as facilitators.” The platform committee will then use the written summaries of the meetings in crafting the Democratic agenda.

“This process will empower Americans in all 50 states to make their voices heard as they help write the document that embodies our party’s values and vision for the future,” said DNC Chairman Howard Dean.

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano will oversee the effort. She will be aided by national and state lawmakers, Obama campaign and DNC officials and union representatives.

“Barack Obama believes that every American should be able to contribute to the Democratic platform, just as record numbers have participated in this campaign,” said Obama spokesman Steve Hildebrand. “It’s not the lawmakers in Washington who live the day-to-day reality of our policies – it’s workers, teachers, parents and first responders – everyday Americans who just want to the best for their families.”

Rush’s point that Barry Hussein had exactly 143 days of experience in the Senate before he declared himself ready to be President is simply astounding.
Some Democrats with a brain ought to show up at these meetings and demand that their nominee be someone who would actually be qualified...oh, and would be glad to produce a legal birth certificate, too.

Translation: "We haven't any clue what we stand for, other than just simply getting elected ... Please elect us, Please, Please !!"

I wonder if they really said “ordinary Americans.” As in, those little people who aren’t members of the ruling class? I thought we were all just Americans.

I would be glad to participate

Let us see... (this should be fun)

For the platform I would like the following:

1. Stop killing babies by abortion

2. Stop surrendering to terrorists

3. Stop blaming this country and its freedom

4. Stop taxing people who work and tax those who do not work but receive government checks in some form (includes bureaucrats, welfare recipients, lawyers for the ACLU)

5. Drill Here Drill now for Oil and natural gas.

6. Cut off all funding for environmentalist - Marxist organizations, Planned (kill-your-baby-here) hood

7. Try the Dems in the congress - both houses - for treason.

8. Confiscate the Kennedy estate and distribute it to the people who pay taxes. -- that will do for starters

DNC PLATFORM IDEA

Use aborted third term fetuses to manufacture Soylent Green Energy Bars. (This should circumvent the current food shortages caused by the Ethanol Policies those damn Republicans talked us into.)

This is a pure political move. Make it look like you ask lots of people, in small groups, in limited venues so the participants don’t get together and compare notes.

A few thousand folks will remember giving inputs.

Toss the results, announce your platform, and declare a consensus, or better yet a mandate.

“Based on the inputs from ordinary people across the USA, we announce the following platform: Smaller classrooms and better pay for teachers, safe and legal abortions, commonsense gun safety regulations, “

This is a variant of the 3x5 card trick. You go to a meeting, maybe a school meeting or political meeting. Everyone gets 3x5 cards and writes their questions on them, then facilitators collect them and deliver them to the chairman, who then reads off the questions they already had prepared. The cards are a sham.

Once, knowing that we were to be blessed withe the card trick, I bought bright pink 3x5s from the office supply store and gave them out to my friends, and when we got there we passed them out to as many people as we could get away with. When they asked for questions to be put on cards, we all scribbled away and handed in our mostly pink cards.

Surprise, the deck madame chairman had was all white, a two inch stack of cards, none pink. Naturally there were questions met with embarrassed looks and really no good answer, um, my associates discarded the irrelevant ones.

Now on to the first question- How can we get smaller classrooms? LOL

Section XXX: WARFARE

“We, the Democratic Party of the United States, abhor all forms of warfare and violence against other nations, even when in self defense against terrorists. However, we only feel this way when a Republican is President of the United States. Democrat Presidents may bomb whoever they want, for any reason.”

It is simple as far as additions to the Platform: become conservative, cut taxes, dump the DNC leadership plus the House and Senate liberal leadership, win the war against Islamofascism, appoint conservative jurists, and drill, drill, drill. Now that would cause a Dem landslide if they did it and I might even be appeased!!! Of course, the Messiah losing would help too!!

Here’s my input, scumbags!

1) stop undermining America
(the overall theme of what follows)

2) apologize to America’s citizens for your treasonous ways

3) stop pushing socialism

4) stop siding with every crackpot anti-American douchebag in the world

5) chuck all of your treasonous nutjobs like Reid, Pelosi, Obambi, the Clintonistas, Murtha, et al

6) stand up for what’s right, not what’s expedient

7) abolish liberal socialism

8) disband your pathetic treasonous party and start all over again

Well... since, "A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage." has already been used. How about....
"A Handgun in every pocket and an Assault Rifle in every closet!"
Oops my bad. Wrong political party. Lemme scan the Communist Manifesto, be back in a sec.
