I’ll take this for what it’s worth. Have you listened to Boortz much?
To: Jo Nuvark
I apologize to those who I mislead when I posted this. I should have checked further, but I so loved the content of what he had to say I went off half-cocked and thought everyone else would enjoy it...which most apparently have. I'm a die-hard listener of his show (when I'm not playing golf at that hour!) and support almost everything he has to say. (Neal: the pre-bate of the Fair Tax worries me as I see it as a crack in the door for politicians where they can argue for “adjustments” because Buttface, Arkansas has a lower cost of living than NYC, etc.)
Anyway, keep us one our toes, Neal, and keep us thinking...

Hi DO...
No, I haven’t listened at all to Neil Boortz.
But I rather enjoyed his fantasy commencement
speech. What do you know that I don’t know?

How can we get Mr. Boortz to speak at other Universities and Colleges?
Absolute brilliance!

No problem ...
I sent this to my politically rabbid email contacts.
Let’s see if any of them notice. If they do, I’ll
blame my good FRiend Jack.

I listen to Boortz every chance I get. The first time was while driving through Atlanta on the way back home from FL...probably 10 or so years ago. I was so tickled when our local talk radio station started carrying him. He is a no nonsense person with a keen eye for both sides of an issue. While I don't know this, it seems that he studies the liberal positions very hard, find the chink in their armor, and then just obliterates them. I admire his wit, his quickness, and his candor. If you get a chance, check his web site and see if a station near you carries him and, if so, give him a week. After that, you're hooked.

I don’t blame you really, but I have a small business. And a 40 hour work week would be a luxury. :P

On the contrary - it’s the PERFECT place to start UNDOING the four years of damage (more like 16 years if you count elementary school and high school indoctrination) that the socialists that have completely taken over public education have inflicted on us.
They did THEIR Maoist “Long March” through academia - it’s high time our side starts fighting back.
You either take the fight directly to the enemy, or you allow him to have the advantage and bring it to YOU.

Neal Boortz is excellent; he’s the master of pragmatic and get-in-a-Liberal’s-face conservatism (which our side desperately needs). I ran across his website about ten years back, and have been reading him ever since.
Thanks for the ping!!

The irony is that this commencement speech has been more widely distributed, and has been the subject of more comment than any commencement speech that actually has been delivered at any college or university in the past 50 years.
That's because it continues to be mistaken as a real commencement speech, posted and lauded on sites like this one, and passed along, with many of the recipients and forwarders perpetuating the myth that it's a real commencement speech. Its popularity is thus a reflection of people's gullibility as much as it is the power of its message. Personally I find much in Boortz's piece to agree with, and about as much to disagree with. I accept that this places me in the minority here, but I think Boortz himself would approve of my conscious refusal to be sucked into the kind of group-think that condemns contrary opinions.

done! welcome aboard!
As far as the pic, the statue of liberty is the libertarain symbol. The half burried part symbolizes the lack of freedom we currently have and our present state, despite being the freest country in the world we are still plauged and smothred in new deal socialism. Also, Charles Heston was in the whole picture from planet of the apes, so that’s an added bonus for gun rights. Eric Blair 2084 (courtesey ping) actually passed on this particular picture. So, that’s the story. :)
