Maybe they're right. After all, a missile shield isn't much good against Photoshop.

“the imagined nature of the Iranian missile threat”
Dumb commie. Next he’ll point out those NK missiles can’t reach Alaska or Hawaii, let alone fly over those places, unlike the pretty graphics the Air Force was promoting years ago. The dumb commie doesn’t understand that with big government capitalism imagined threats can be very profitable, greased by returns to politicians laundered as campaign contributions, family hires, outright bribes. Bush came in with the Star Wars Part Deux money, you can bet he’ll push this boondoggle to the end.

Considering that our own Demagogues say that missile defense will never work, and that Obambi still derides it as “unproven”...... it seems that the Russkies must have a bit more faith in our technical prowess than do our own Demagogues. Russia is always hyperventilating against a “missile shield” that our libs have been saying for 25 years is an impossibility......

Tests show US shield 'not needed'... This from folks who have their capital city completely surrounded by hundreds of anti-missile interceptor rockets.

What are the dirty commies afraid of? Not to worry, as soon as Osama Obama becomes CIC, the shield will go away and they'll have the ability to threaten the region with their own weapons soon enough. Then the dems can blame Bush again while they walk away from our allies, the Czech Republic and declare peace with Russia.

From the map of Iran's range, Moscow is not to far from Iran's missile range.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Like I’ve said before, we should make a deal with the Russians. They kill the Iranian nuke program, and we kill the European missile defense system.

The prpose of testing is for improvement.
Increasing range is not limited by any agreements.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said the results of Iran's missile tests prove that US plans for a defence shield in Europe are unnecessary.
What's Lavrov's view about the necessity for Russian sales of advanced fighters to Venezuela?

Liberal logic (when it comes to things that will strengthen the US):
If it can't solve everything at once, it isn't worth doing.
It doesn't matter if it is a missile defense system, drilling offshore, drilling in ANWR, opening up coal reserves, loosening firearm restrictions, allowing private (read: Christian) charities to aid the needy, etc.
