Thoughts:
Too often, our side does not realize we can advance getting 60 or 80% of the pie, and the demand goes up for all or nothing.
Unlike the Democrats, we tend to question and argue our politics instead of following along with the party status quo.
Freepers are among the worst/best at both. Only in hind sight can some people see the realities of what we have or had, gained or lost.
This has been true with Tony Snow and every other pundit, media person and conservative politician I can think of.

We don’t learn truth on CNN if it don’t favor Obama, thanks to the Freeper who also posted it for me.
First the close each and every avenue for achieving energy security,no drilling anywhere,no nukes,no new refineries,no nothing but the energy they prefer when they get around to it.
Then when the sh-t hits the fan it's all our fault for not drilling where our leftover useless leases are,use it or lose i!BSSSS!!

one of the best explanation given was when a small businessman who is considered "rich" is taxed heavier he starts laying off others. Really makes the point. (just happened to me for other reasons) Really drives home the point.

When you have a core less party and know you will be running a core less candidate,you have to fully insulate him from any rejection from us.
What better way than to run a likable black candidate and then declare all his shortcomings out of bounds!! Slicker than owl sh_t!!
The point is children are corrupted by racist, I was just reminded of an equivalent as Obama was whining about what a mistake it was to have his children interviewed. Then I got to thinking there are many more children in Chicago subjected to Rev Wright.
