McLaughlin takes heat for 'Oreo' comment (about Obama)

(CNN) — Longtime Washington talk-show host John McLaughlin is facing fire Monday for referring to Barack Obama as an "Oreo" during a segment on his Sunday political program, "The McLaughlin Group.

The veteran Washington journalist was discussing the recent comments from the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was caught last week by an open microphone on Fox News saying the Illinois senator is "talking down to black people" as he campaigns for the White House. Those remarks were largely seen in reference to Obama's recent admonishment at a Chicago church of some black men who he said were not living up to their responsibilities as parents.

Referencing Jackson's comments, McLaughlin said Obama "fits the stereotype blacks once labeled as an Oreo — a black on the outside, a white on the inside."

Michelle Bernard, who was also on the show, did not seem to take offense.

That's because she seems to have her head screwed on straight (as opposed to Elinore Cliff).

I think he’s almost symbolic of a once-conservative gone soft and left-ish. He still brings up interesting things that few others do on TV and has Pat Buchanan who I respect (although I don’t always agree with him).

So much for “open, honest discussion about race” ...

Mmm ... Oreos. I love oreos. I fail to see how something of such divine beauty could be interpreted in a derogatory manner.

Uh-Oh, you said divine as in God or Jesus, definitely derogatory to the anti-Christ leftist crowd, and beauty as in beauty pageant, or feminine beauty, anathema to the feminist (anti-feminine) leftists.

Every time the media goes off on a racially biased witch hunt over some imagined slight (on Obama’s behalf) , it tends to remind people of the gulags in the old USSR, whose inmates were sent there by the thought and speech police.

That is exactly what politically correct speech is about. It is a purely Marxist tool for separating people from freedom of speech through intimidation. The intimidation takes whatever form PC's adherents have been able to accfumulate. In Canada it is imprisonment.

Pretty impressive, huh? I pissed-off the atheists, the Muslims, the ACLU, the feminists, the NAACP and the Keebler Elves with a single sentence. Efficiency — a capitalist contrivance.

I’ll avoid using the term “black hole” in the future as well — as it is clearly a racist epithet and an anti-feminist epithet (via the objectification of women through a focus only on orifices). I shall stick to the term “Afro-centric region of space in which the gravitational field is so powerful that even light cannot escape.”

That’s not even it. Imus at least called the Rutgers women team nappy headed hoes (a stupid thing to do—imho.) But what we are talking about here is someone referring to comments made by a third party in this cas a few blacks in general.

This is why no one can talk about race, because literally no one can talk about race or racism. Merely mentioning race causes whites to labeled racist. Ridiculous. And I am not white, either.

Instead of a cookie. Wouldn’t Barack Hussein be more like a Graham Cracker. After all he is half Cracker. Oops I mean half white. And Graham Cracker’s are a light brown.

People kibitzing John McLaughlin are not respecting the infirmity of old age and should be horsewhipped.

Eleanor is the oldest person regularly appearing on TV.

Ain't no crackers on the white side of that man. They's all slave owning New Yorkers.

Fur Shur one of his ancestors owned over 580 slaves as late as the 1800 census!

Didn't let them go either ~ sold them down the river before the law kicked in.
