WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, on Monday rejected a call by U.S. President George W. Bush to lift a moratorium on offshore oil drilling.

Bush announced on Monday that he lifted the executive branch's restriction on offshore exploration, saying only Congress stood in the way of opening up America's untapped oil riches.

Beat me to posting this Toby..

Bush just rolled Reid and the Dems and they are to stupid to realize it.

He has painted them as the party for no drilling....and they laugh at Bush for being the dumb one.

Bush won this round.

Look for drilling offshore.....soon.

“Oil makes you sick” according to Harry. After he gets through taking a hiding by the electorate he will be sick, and sorry he ever opposed this. Strategery!

(Rats want higher gas prices!)

Of course they do...they're beholden to the enviro-mental lobby for massive campaign cash. They don't want to cut off their noses to spite their faces!

And we all know that the environ-mental movement has America's best interests at heart...

But Reid said oil companies should focus instead on drilling on much of the 68 million acres that they have leased but not used for exploration.

The dipstick who can't run the senate wants to tell people who actually know how to find oil where they should drill.

Harry: take a long walk on a short dock!

(U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, on Monday rejected a call by U.S. President George W. Bush to lift a moratorium on offshore oil drilling. )

Now what every American that is paying $4 a gallon and votes needs to ask themselves is why?
What reason, that is good for and benefits America and its citizens does the ruling Democrat Party have to reject this idea?
Since there is none based in common sense and logic, then their reasons must be for something or someone other then America and Americans.
The next question you need to ask yoursel,f then is how can you cast a vote for anyone that is acting in the interests of someone or something other then America and Americans.

Evwerytime the Rats fight expanded drilling their poll numbers go down.
People aren’t buying that 68 million acre crap because they all know that at $140 a barrel the oil companies would be rushing to get it.

Tell your Congressmorons that the largest oil producing countries also have the lowest domestic gasoline prices. If the United States were using all available domestic sources, our domestic prices would also be lower. The Congressmorons say drilling won’t help. Well, it would have helped a lot over the past 30 years.

The bans on drilling offshore and in the ANWR should be lifted “yesterday”.

I just don’t think any amount of spin will convince the average American family that we shouldn’t drill for more oil.

Republicans can turn this issue on Democrats come this fall.

He, Pelosi, and the rest of the DemoSocialist enslavers, are digging their long nails into the economic throats of the American people, so that they can control us all, and tell us how successful we are allowed to be.

They are going to destroy Americas prosperity, in this power play, or die trying.

You would think voters would be mad at Democrats who stand against drilling with gas prices so high.
