Not cool. Senate elections could be a bloodbath.

Another article says this poll is first Smith has ever trailed in. This could be ‘58 all over again.

The Rats are doing a pretty good job of shooting themselves in the foot by refusing to lift the off-shore drilling ban.

That’s the only real hope for Republicans this year.

Agreed though, this is not good.

Smith is a sellout valueless scum bag....I’d rather have Joe Stalin as my Senator.

When you have to choose between an anti-war, anti-drilling Dem and an anti-war, anti-drilling RhinoCrat go with the real Rat. Good Riddance Gordon.

Republican Sen. Gordon Smith's own pollster, Bob Moore, said he didn't trust the methodology of the poll by Rasmussen Reports.
It's Oregon, and the Pubbie call for drilling is bound to have some impact.

Gordon Smith (a disgusting ACU rating of 48 in 2007 and a pitiful 72 lifetime) is running ads touting how well he has worked with Obama and his desire to “reach across the aisle” to “get things done”.

Instead of standing up for winning conservative ideas and principles, he’s running from the Democrat newsrooms like a coward. He’s portraying himself as “liberal lite”. I have never seen that embarrassing campaign tactic work, not once. Liberals figure they may as well just vote for the liberal, and conservatives stay home.

Personally, I won’t be sorry to see Smith go.

Darn. A RINO is going down. You have to hate that. He should have voted to drill in ANWR but he stuck with McFlap, that’ll get you in trouble.
