IMO Obama’s handlers advised him against talking to the troops for fear he get a tough question that he couldn’t answer or would have to lie about. Although he’s pretty well stacked his press entourage with rock solid supporters, they didn’t want to risk that one of them would let something unflattering out. It’s less risky to snub the troops and deal with that than another gaffe.
Most of ll, he doesn’t know how to say “thank you” to military personnel for what they are doing honorably to keep all of us at home safe from harm.
And you’re absolutely right, Barry O. wouldn’t have the slightest idea of what to say to soldiers. He never was one and will never be one. So why in the world does he think he deserves to be Commander in Chief.
