Victims were apparently his immediate family, which is odd if his wife helped get him out.

I know that someone will make crude jokes but a child was murdered today.

Sick SOB

I guess the moral of the story is “Don’t help criminals escape from prison.” Poor little girl was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. At least she won’t have to grow up with these sicko scammers running her life.

What a scumbag.

Couldn’t just off himself and do the world a favor. Had to take out innocent people too.

This is probably typical of his class of people.

Yep. I don’t find any humor at all in this. It is just grim.

Well, it’s a long way from spamming people’s computers to killing your family. But you do have to be kind of a POS to begin with, to want to dedicate your career to making life difficult and annoying for everyone on the net.

Nothing in the report sounds right.

21 months for fraud, in a "prison" he was able to walk out of, driving straight home - with the family along for the ride?

Then shooting his wife, two kids, and himself while climbing out of the getaway car...?

For many, the Internet has become their town and society. Unfortunately, the distance between Main Street and the alley behind the diner is about the diameter of an electron.

PS: Can't confirm it but I thought I heard a report earlier that police were looking for Davidson after finding his family dead?

Compared to the old fashioned 20 feet?

I agree.

I feel ambivalent about why he was in jail in the first place. Google reveals at least three guys prosecutors have dubbed the "spam king." My filter gets them every day from people who aren't being prosecuted. Does everything we don't like have to be a crime?

Still, it's no excuse for this scumbag.

It is unsurprising that a spam merchant would be this vicious and cowardly.

May God have mercy on that child's soul.

Both spamming and murder-suicide involve a self-centeredness that is typical of pathological narcissism.

How can anyone be "forced" to help someone escape prison?
Color me perplexed.

Interesting. That gives a totally different impression than the first line of this article, which says she helped him escape FROM prison. The article you linked to sounds like he was already long gone from the prison before he arrived on doorstep demanding a ride. Sounds like she was never anywhere near the prison.

If they prosecuted this guy, he was one of the kingpins who enabled gazillions of others to spam. He probably got paid money by these people to find ways to get email out to people like us, get it past our filters.

See, I feel differently. I am nearly at the point where I am beginning to believe capital punishment for spammers and hackers might be appropriate.

Granted, I am being semi-tongue in cheek, but think about the time you might go to the hospital, and your physician cannot view your xray results in a timely fashion because a virus has rendered his viewing client inoperable, or the medical database has been wiped out by a hacker just for fun. You, or someone close to you could die as a result.

Yeah...I guess I am extreme. If they convicted them and cut their hands off, there WOULD be a part of me that thinks they had it coming. I have wasted too much time and money on those things.

But I know what you mean.

He was prosecuted because he was spamming in furtherance of a pump and dump.

Had this scumbag stuck to peddling Viagra he would still be spamming.

How the hell did someone in prison force someone outside the prison to help him escape?

Yeah, these articles are always written so poorly.

From what I can gather she went to the prison to visit, he walked out with her and slapeed her around a bit and forced her to drive him to Lakewood.

She then called the cops to tell them what happened. Somehow they then all ended up at the family’s former home, where he killed them.
