It is a great movie, and the parallels are undeniable.
Another great movie recently is Iron Man. Also full of commentary on the present war, unafraid to depict Muslim aggression as it is.

I didn’t care for Iron Man nearly as much as Dark Knight. Iron Man was too anti-military and too predictable to me.
The Dark Knight is one of the more intense movies I’ve seen, and I loved it. Iron Man was kinda goofy in comparison.
