Anything's possible I suppose but he didn't seem the type.

I think it’s ridiculous to believe.

"It's not like we didn't have our eyes open. We found six other planes while we were looking for him. We're pretty good at what we do." The first thing I wondered was whether Fossett had faked his own death.
Of course, Amelia Earhart and her plane have never been found, either.

The financial records would give the definitive answer.
Did he move assets around in his last days?

Did you know him personally? If not, you have no idea what “TYPE” he was/is.

I just got an email from Steve Fosset.
He says Lieutenant Colonel Cynthia Ryan of the US Civil Air Patrol got it all wrong and that he really is dead....and he can prove it.
Who ya gonna believe?

We found six other planes while we were looking for him. We're pretty good at what we do." Soooo, I gather that when the other six planes went down they were "not so good?"

If they found six other planes while looking for Fossett wouldn’t that imply that maybe they aren’t so good at search and rescue? When did those planes crash and how long were they missing? Why didn’t they find those six planes sooner?

We found six other planes while we were looking for him. We're pretty good at what we do." Hmmm...this raises a question. How good were they at "what they do" when they were looking for less-famous pilots of lost aircraft?

"We found six other planes while we were looking for him. We're pretty good at what we do."
Then why didn't you find the six other planes the first time you looked for them?

What would be the motivation for faking his death?
Looks to me like he had everything to live for and had it all.

Adventurer Steve Fossett 'may have faked his own death'I am a little quirky, but I have wondered about this all along. The guy did like to live in the lime-light. I always thought the whole thing seemed a little staged. But once again, I do tend to be quick to come up with conspiracy theories.

She said: "I've been doing this search and rescue for 14 years.
Fossett should have been found.
"It's not like we didn't have our eyes open.
Just about anything is possible:
1. sitting at the bottom of a lake/river
2. flew so wildly off-course he's might be even BARELY outside the
search area
3. high-speed crash into a mountain-side when fuel was low, so the
debris falls in little-bitty pieces under the canopy of trees
4. flow under a sizeable snowbank and won't be found until either
the debris emerges at the bottom edge of the snow bank or the
snow-bank melts (if you believe in global warming).
But...if Fossett faked his death and is living with a stable of
lady friends, all I can say is...
"It's a Man's World, Baby!".

We found six other planes while we were looking for him. We're pretty good at what we do. Pretty good at what they do yet managed to miss six planes from prior searches.

We found six other planes while we were looking for him. And were the passengers on those six planes also partying with Elvis while waiting 30 years to be found?

I notice Lloyd's of London is on the hook for $50 million dollars US funds. That one investigator has had eight months of search of various kinds.
It is a pleasant diversion from many of the real questions that may disturb many of us. I, not having to rise early anymore, did listen once in a while to "Coast to Coast". A psychic chap did say he could guide the searchers to the place where in his mind's eye, he could see the wrecked plane.
I have not heard much more, but then I use Coast to Coast to let me drift off to sleep. I have for some time had an irrational indignation at two major psychics- perhaps because they earn mega bucks and I do not have mega bucks (chuckle). I add a disclaimer- more power to them if it is within the law to do so.
I wonder if the good lady, the one who claimed only a Democrat would be elected President in 2000, making a screwed up face about "them", should be contacted. I have her pronouncements on tape made 1999. Added to that the gentleman with his 24 failed "hits" and about 4 correct "hits" can tell us. This sending his subject into ecstasy. After all people just know he can contact their dearly beloved.
Please excuse this ramble on this pleasant Sunday.
