None of the Above
Stiff Right Jab ^ | July 28, 2008 | Steve Farrell

Posted on 07/28/2008 4:39:21 PM PDT by average american student

Joseph Farah, founder and president of World Net Daily, one of the oldest and most read Independent news sources on the Internet, has a new book out for election 2008, None of the Above: Why 2008 is the Year to Cast the Ultimate Protest Vote.

In it Farah invites his readers - not tongue in cheek mind you - to cast a protest vote for “none of the above,” or rather, for the third party or write in candidate of our choice.

If we don’t register this protest, he warns, it will business as usual, a steady push to the left, whether under the leadership of Obama or McCain.

Farah is right. ...

Farrell opines on Farah's new book "None of the Above." Looks back at what party above principle, and victory first did to conservatism under Bush I and II. Better to lose the election and succeed in waking up the folks ... than win the vote and lose the country.

Nice idea, but I’m not eager to be saying “President Obama” for the next 8 to 10 years, not in These 57 States.

While I have no intention of voting for McCain, currently there is no third party on the ballot worth voting for. If I’m not going to vote for McCain becuase of his horrible record on the 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment, taxes, sovereignty, global warming, and terrorists’ ‘rights’, I surely will never vote for any of the surrender monkey psuedo conservatives or the communist democrat.

Duncan Hunter 08

None of the above is voting FOR Obama. Now more then ever we gotta suck it up and vote against the Marxists instead of voting for a good candidate.

In order for conservatives to get on board, McCain needs to do one the following:

(1) Select a young conservative for VP (Palin, Thune, Rounds)

(2) Renounce global warming, illegal immigration, campaign finance-reform

(3) Resign from the race and nominate Fred, Hunter or Paul

Otherwise - NO DEAL!

Ok, at this point, your opinions on either candidate no longer matter nor should you presume any right to carp about whom ever is elected.

I’ve done all my complaining already, when the GOP decided to go suicidal and push Rudy McRomney down our throats. I’ll let you vote for someone who thinks An Inconvenient Truth was a real documentary.

I think a Duncan Hunter vote makes sense too. I’ve said I’d vote for Reagan out of protest, but the votes for Hunter would make it clear what the folks who voted for him wanted. I feel inclined to move in that direction.

Then you also believe that not voting for Obama is voting for McCain.

Do you have any young children? A bit personal, I know, so sorry for asking.

I can’t look my son in the eye someday and admit I didn’t do everything I could to keep the Obamanation from happening.

This is a nightmare election season for conservatives anyway you look at it.

I’m voting NObama in November. Yeah, that’s a vote for McCain but I’ll be ragging his behind and all the congresscritters for the next 4 years, kind of business as usual I guess.

Well it is what it is. The GOP has decided that a Maverick who nearly joined the Kerry ticket is their meal ticket to success. He may very well beat the Obamunist and I will work diligently to expose the magic negro for the dirtball that he is. That is all I can offer to the GOP. Actively assisting their lurch left is not in the cards.

I believe that an Obama win will keep the Dems and Pubs divided whereas a McCain win will bring the two to the left, a country were laws are arbitrary and a country that is headed down the socialist path.

I’ll be voting for Hunter.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll check out your link in your tagline.

I just CANNOT fathom an Obama presidency. It’s weird living in a Far Side cartoon. Arghhh.....

Your right. We should oppose Obama. I don’t do much of it because it’s almost an insult to people to assume you need to tell them what an idiot he is. I have a member of my family that is a Los Angeles teacher’s union member, who despite the leftist tripe he is exposed to constantly, thinks Obama is down right scary. They are right.

Even they won’t be voting for Obama.

I have focused on McCain, because he is the guy who seems to be fooling the most people. The guy is a Soros ass hat clown, that when he gets around to authoring legislation exclusively proposes Soros backed leftist trip that sounds like something Al Gore would back.

He’s supported the ICC, the LOST treaty and other nonsense. And still I see folks trash Obama for his internationalist views and affiliate with Soros.

I have never seen a time when our side was more myopic.

Obama sees opposition. McCain brings in one party rule.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Well, I don’t see Obama winning anyway despite conservatives’ animosity towards McCain. I know some blacks that aren’t going to vote for Obama. He’s way out of the mainstream, even more socialist than Eugene V. Debs.

Same reason I wouldn’t have voted for Hagel if nominated; or Rudy, or Snowe, or Collins, or Specter, or Arnold, or Voinovich, or Warner, or Linseed, etc etc etc.

So we are going to teach those rascals a lesson! What did they learn when George Wallace carried 5 states? (OK, not to let him finish the next race). How about Jug ears race, did they get the message? Will they get the message when the third party elects THE NEW PRESIDENT? No way.
