WHO'S FUELING THE GREEN MOVEMENT?
NEALZ NUZE ^ | 1 AUGUST 2008 | NEAL BOORTZ

Posted on 08/01/2008 7:27:01 AM PDT by Turret Gunner A20

The answer is ... children. Well, maybe a few of them qualify as young adults. But the young 20-somethings of America are becoming extremely politically active and they have chosen their cause: the environment. P Here's an example of what I am talking about. Greenpeace has a summer campaign called "Change It", which teaches 140 young people how to move lawmakers with grassroots campaigns. For 140 slots, Greenpeace received over 1,000 applications. The Greenpeace student coordinator Amanda Starbuck says, "To me, this is the strongest student movement since the 1960s ... The current generation is very environmental-minded and [has] a real sense of empowerment." Empowerment? More like they feel they know it all. They are at that age. They'll grow out of it. Hopefully. P More indoctrination programs are being spearheaded on campuses across this country. The goal is to find "climate-conscious voters" and make sure that they push green issues on politicians. Why do they target campuses? Because this is where you find voting-age people at the height of idealism where rational thought processes have not yet been fully developed (if at all). What better place to recruit for fresh, new anti-capitalist "environmentalists" than on a college campus.

And when it comes to lobbying on Capitol Hill, young activists apparently have many advantages over older lobbyists because politicians are more willing to "take a chance on an unknown kid."

And these are the people that are trying to shape the future of this country – while we're trying to teach them how to think.

Make no mistake, folks. The environmental movement is not about trees, birds and Polar Bears. It is about destroying capitalism. Pay attention.

And no wonder that they are so susceptible to the brain washing in college because they have been steeped in this garbage from first grade, and are still being so. Even toddlers are getting it through the TV programs like Dora the Explorer, etc.

the paper companies-at least partially. They have been behind the bans on polystyrene food packaging (McDonald’s early ‘90s) and bans on plastic grocery bags. (The ugly truth is that the alternative packaging that McDonalds went to-coated paper-is “worse” for the enviornment than extruded polystyrene).

They are green... with envy. The self-esteem movement created more narcissists. It was a conscious attempt to inject the mind virus of vanity into children in the narcissists own image to boost narcissistic influence. With vanity always comes envy, a reaction to those who challenge their vanity. Envious people strongly vote Democrat.

Well for one thing, our large corporations keep trying to kiss their a$$e$ by dumping mega-bucks on them, talk about suicidal—and stupid.

They are partially to blame for this too, appeasement only ends up enslaving you and middle of the road gets you run over, get a brain America!

Environmentalism: Communism with a friendly face

Anthropogenic Global Warming ™Anthropogenic Climate Change ™ is merely one front in the environmentlists' assault on capitalism and freedom.

Goldman Sacs, in cahoots with Al Gore’s various ‘green business ventures’ (which are run by MANY former Goldman Sacs executives) plan to make lots of money off this scam too!

I wish more people would look into this angle.

Human Events had a great read here:

Goldman Sacs is Obama’s biggest corporate contributor as well, so hang on to your wallets folks if the dems make a sweep in November.

We are so screwed if they do!

We’re screwed for the next 4 years no matter what happens. We lost this battle but now have 4 years of political entertainment to keep us busy.

Yup. Here is an interesting paragraph:

Clearly, GIM is poised to cash in on carbon trading. The membership of CCX is currently voluntary. But if the day ever comes when federal government regulations require greenhouse-gas emitters-and that's almost everyone-to participate in cap-and-trade, then those who have created a market for the exchange of carbon credits are in a position to control the outcomes. And that moves Al Gore front and center. As a politician, Gore is all for transparency. But as GIM chairman, Gore has not been forthcoming, according to Forbes magazine. Little is known about his firm's finances, where it gets funding and what projects it supports.’

It looks like the the fix is in. This sounds like Enron's old trading platform...all they are doing is creating a make believe carbon market then they will flip carbon contracts. They will produce nothing but make tons of money by just flipping make believe contracts, which will be mandated by the government. This will be the New dot.com, real estate, oil bubble.

Maybe I'm getting old, but who the bleep cares what kids the same age as my daughter thinks? They lack the experience to make reasoned judgments. In fact, in a day when kids matured far sooner, the founding fathers recognized the value of seasoning and wrote age requirements into the constitution.

I really don't care what my daughter's friends think. Neither should you. After all, can you imagine a world run by 18 to 22 year olds?

Goldman also has their fingerprints all over the runup in commodities. Is it speculation? Manipulation? Draw your own conclusions, but GS seems to be following the Enron playbook. If they were truly free market advocates, they wouldn’t be investing so heavily in the purchase of Democrat pols.
