A Dallas Fire-Rescue dispatcher said a passerby called about 5:30 a.m. to report that a man was on top of a utility pole and that wires were sparking above in the 800 block of Regal Row near the Irving border. Police said there had also been reports of power outages in the area.

I wonder how long he was up there and how long the electricity was going through him.

They took the man to Parkland, which is run by Dallas County.
His bills will be covered by the taxpayers.

Even by the taxpayers that endured the power outage he created.

Who says America isn’t a merciful country?

“No happy ending there for we the taxpayers ... no doubt we’ll be footing the bill for some extremely expensive medical care and a disability pension if the mutt lives.”

Not to mention all the carbon offsets we’re going to have to purchase on account of all those burning parts of him.

We probably will be paying for this guy’s rehab, but he’ll suffer a whole lot more pain than we allow death penalty convicts to suffer. Ah, so there IS a consolation prize for the taxpayers, the power company and their inconvenienced customers.

I own a tool and die business, last weekend we lost about 4K lbs of steel stored in our yard, came to about $9K to replace it.

I would LOVE to catch the SOB who took that stuff, he would remember what he did every single morning when he tried to get out of bed without knee pain...

We had three houses hit last might, they took the underground copper pipes out of the front yards. It's all sand, so it's relatively easy digging. Probably cost about $2k a house to get a plumber put proper piping back in.

They know they are immigrants doing it, from the survey cameras and arrests. The local ag business, the lettuce and tomato pickers, shut down with the salmonella scare.

Another story like this in Tenn. Looks like copper could be a good replacement for the dollar.
