So Much for St. John
By Eugene Robinson
WASHINGTON -- It's awfully early for John McCain to be running such a desperate, ugly campaign against Barack Obama. But I guess it's useful for Democrats to get a reminder that the Republican Party plays presidential politics by the same moral code that guided the bad-boy Oakland Raiders in their heyday: "Just win, baby."
The latest bit of snarling, mean-spirited nonsense to come out of the McCain camp was the accusation, leveled by campaign manager Rick Davis, that Obama had "played the race card." He did so, apparently, by being black.

“That campaign ad must really work, since liberals can’t stop whining about it.”
The ad is a riot, using the Obamination’s own bs words:

I have never seen anything deeply thoughtful written by this character, Eugene Robinson.
Ah, you beat me to it!
When Libs start whining, you know the ads are workin’ like a charm.
I wonder how this pathetic “journalist” is going to feel when he finds out the Obama campaign admitted today the “dollar bill” comments were racist?
On the other hand, who cares?
Yeah, but it’s not just the libs who are whining...the independents and RINO’s are whining, also.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
What’s ugly and desperate is the MSM’s total sellout to partisan politics, and whenever it gets pointed out, the response will be more ugly, desperate personal attacks on John McCain.
He’s a token. Not an ounce of talent in my opinion.
When liberals come out with an ad against a Republican, Republicans respond by factually refuting it.
When Republicans come out with an ad against a Liberal, Liberals respond by one of the following means:
1) Play race card.
2) Complain about the “meanness” of the advertisement.
3) Make statements asserting that the Republicans are playing dirty politics.
4) Question the timing.
5) Question the motives.
6) Assassinate the character of the people behind the advertisement.
Liberals rarely attempt to refute opposition statements using facts. They’ve had the media in their pockets for so many years, their main mode of defense is to use the media to create a new perception of the truth based on statements from as many liberal sources as possible. Often you’ll read articles with unnamed sources asserting something to be true, without any fact checking by the media. You’ll have liberal candidates and officials making statements about past or recent accomplishments without any fact checking to confirm the veracity of their assertions.
Liberalism has much in common with intellectual laziness.
