Thanks. This is one part that interested me:

--John Maguire, one of two men who oversaw the CIA’s Iraq Operations Group, was frustrated by what Suskind describes as the “tendency of the White House to ignore advice it didn’t want to hear – advice that contradicted its willed certainty, political judgments, or rigid message strategies.”

Isikoff and Corn discuss and quote Maguire extensively in their book on Plame. Maguire succeeded Bob Baer at Baer's position in Middle East operations and was active in a covert operation against Saddam Hussein, codenamed DB/Anabasis. He one of Chalabi's opponents in CIA, and also butted heads with the Amman CIA station chief over a covert operation in Iraq, with Parisian CIA station chief Bill Murray over WMD issues, and with Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bremer, Rice, Feith, and Luti over various issues. He had a perception that other CIA station chiefs were refusing to cooperate with his covert operations, and is described as swearing at them and demanding their firing. Interestingly, he was also the CIA control officer for Sarkis Soghanalian. After leaving the Agency, he went into consulting on oil, airplane service, and Internet sales.

The MSM has swallowed it whole. There are hundreds of articles giving credence to Suskind. They are gushing over it like the previous book, The One-Percent Doctrine with its proported insider info.

I hav posted a thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2056980/posts
which has George Tenant’s answer to Suskind about hese allegations.

*snort* Yeah, like the CIA would do anything for George W. Bush’s benefit. Not ruddy likely.

The CIA said that if the surveillance were discovered, Putin’s respect for Bush would be heightened.

Right, I'm sure Putin would be impressed by the ineptitude of the CIA in planting a bug the Russians could discover. That would make the prez look great?

Does Suskind do crack?

Ron Suskind

After he left the WSJ in 2000 he has basically been occupied writing scat about the Bush administration.

Saddam, for over 12 years was in continuous violation of the Gulf War Truce, he disregarded 17 UN resolutions. The burden of proof on whether he pocessed WMD was on Saddam Hussein, NOT President Bush and the Free World.

The Iraq Survey Group gives ample details of Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi biological weapons programs, chemical weapons programs and nuclear weapons programs.

This is just more of traitors attempting to undermine the credibility of the Commander-in-Chief during a time of war.

History repeats itself;

Paul O’Neill’s Lies About Iraq
By John H. Hinderaker
PowerLineBlog.com | Tuesday, January 13, 2004

“Laurie Mylroie sent out an email about Paul O’Neill’s appearance on 60 Minutes last night; she notes what appears to be a major error in Ron Suskind’s book, which casts doubt on the credibility of both Suskind and O’Neill.”

Suskind will go to any great lengths to prop up his misguided views.

Long time, no see...Thought you all might be interested:

Sunday, April 05, 2009

In 2003, White House officials leaked the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame after her husband, former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson, spoke out against the Bush administration.

The incident and its message for democracy will be the subject of a talk Wilson will deliver when he visits East Carolina University Tuesday. He will present his lecture, “Speaking Truth to Power,” at 2 p.m. in the Hendrix Auditorium at the Mendenhall Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
