2 quick questions about expanding drilling...(Florida Dem Congresscriter panders!)
Debbie Wasserman Schultz email | 8/7/08 | Debbie Wasserman Schultz's publicity office

There are several proposals being discussed in Washington and Tallahassee that would expand the areas on which oil companies could drill off of the coast of Florida.

I support a moratorium against the expansion of offshore drilling and have written a column on this topic, a version of which ran last month in the Sun-Sentinel.

That said, I am interested to know what you think about this topic, especially now that energy prices are increasing.

Thank you for taking a moment to read this and for letting me know your opinion on this important issue.

LIBERAL RAT FEELING THE HEAT!

I emailed and called her office, and now she is acting like she cares about what we think.

Her little poll asks if we support drilling...here is the wording...

CHECK OUT THE RESULTS IN THIS EXTREMELY LIBERAL DISTRICT! SINCE BELA PELOSI HAS GIVEN HER LIBERAL LAPDOGS "PERMISSION" TO VOTE FOR OFFSHORE DRILLING, WASSERMAN-SCHULTZ IS NOW TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO....WHAT A HACK...

Anyway, here are the poll results so far. This is remarkable:

Should oil companies be allowed to expand their drilling off Florida's coast to currently protected areas?

There are many different proposals to expand drilling off the nation's coast - including expanding the areas that oil companies can drill off of Florida's coast.

Should drilling for oil off of Florida's coast be expanded?

choices: YES: 43%

NO: 57%...

The federal agency that manages oil resources off the nation's coast (Minerals Management Service) says that drilling off Florida would not have a "significant impact on the price of oil" for at least 22 years. With this knowledge, do you:

Still Support Expanded off shore drilling: 42%

Oppose expanded off shore drilling. 57%

No answer 1%

Florida ping...
btw, Wasserman Schultz is also the Vice-chair of the Lesbian Gay and Transgender Caucus....a married mom, I’m guessing she volunteered for the position...based on the population of her district.

Which way should we greep it??

If we freep it down, she gets the voters boot. If we freep it up, we get what we want and she keeps her office!

What these fools never say is that off the west coast of Florida, if the oil companies are ever allowed to explore, they expect to hit large reserves of NATURAL GAS!!! When’s the last time you saw nat.gas wash ashore on any beach??? The drilling rigs would be out of view of anyone walking on the beach. 22 years to make an impact clearly was pulled out of someone’s behind. Just talking about it is already making an impact.

I would like to see the poll results after informing the Florida voters that Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are starting to receive royalty payments from the offshore production in Federal Waters off their shores.
