Mexican Army Invades U.S., Holds Border Cop at Gunpoint
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 6, '08

Mexican army soldiers invaded U.S. territory and held a member of the U.S. Border Patrol at gunpoint. "Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years," a statement from Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council said. The Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint near Ajo, Ariz. Mexican military personnel crossed over the border and pointed rifles at him. Judicial Watch documented 29 confirmed incidents along the U.S.-Mexican border involving Mexican military and/or law enforcement personnel in 2007. The Border Patrol union said, "A few years ago the Mexican military went a step further and put a 50 caliber rifle through the rear window of a Border Patrol agent's patrol vehicle south of Ajo. Nothing was ever done. Nobody was ever held accountable. Particularly galling is the fact that the Mexican military often pulls these stunts in Humvees donated to them by American taxpayers." Law enforcement authorities have long said Mexican soldiers have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers. On the Washington Times forum page, a participant said, "I'm surprised the Bush administration doesn't arrest and convict the border agents involved like they did Ramos and Compean. Don't worry, we won't have borders anyway. We'll be the North American Union and will be nothing more than a Third World oligarchy just like good old Mexico."

We should be at a state of war with Mexico. It shouldn’t take too long to achieve victory.

Absolutely. Even the liberal Democratic President Woodrow Wilson sent Gen. Pershing into Mexico to capture and punish some Mexican thugs who killed and abused American citizens. Even worse, our elected national and state representatives take a solemn oath to preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Tell me if you think they’ve chosen to disobey this part of our Constitution.
Article. IV., Section. 4.: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and SHALL PROTECT EACH OF THEM AGAINST INVASION.” Even the open-borders crowd admit it’s an invasion!

You're right, the Mexicans have won and no shots have been fired. We just gave in to it.

Ajo is just 40 miles from the Mexico border.

Just 40 miles??

That is a long way for an Army of an adjoining country to invade/insurge into the USA and hold a member of the U.S. Border Patrol at gunpoint. It would seem like an act of war anywhere else.

Let's not let Russia invade and take over Georgia, but let Mexico invade and take over our country. Bizarre

I think the illegal alien issue will be the greatest failure in Bush’s historical legacy. He’ll have a lot of company. It’s almost like a national suicide compact. We pay ever increasing taxes for bankrupt school districts, insolvent hospitals, social welfare services and the enormous human and economic costs of the drug cartel. And we tolerate insecure borders in this age of international terrorism. Your list is a great summary of a deadly situation.

Has McCain addressed this issue yet?

Very important.

Why have we not heard from Obama or McCain?

[Its a freakin’ war zone.]

My daughter's FIL is an ICE agent in that sector. I don't know if he is ok or not since the kids are camping in the mountains.

Anyway, he says he and his mates are shot at daily. But they cannot shoot back or even show a weapon.

Frikkin sick! There will be an armed insurrection there in <5 years.

Why should Tancredo and Hunter speak out? The liberal GOP has rejected them for an open borders, amnesty granting, speech prohibiting RINO, and seem to have backed that idea. People get what they settle for. And we are all going to get it.

Georgia was added to Russia relatively late (not much more than two hundred years before the 1917 Revolution) and they’ve always had a rocky relationship with Russia. Stalin was a Georgian and always spoke Russian with an accent. When he was Commissar for Nationalities he invaded his homeland and was so brutal that even Lenin was angry. In my opinion, this is part of the quest for a unified empire that goes from the czars through the Soviets - of which the Putinites are a part.

We object to Russia invading Georgia but not a peep from Washington about this. Okay, folks, what's wrong with this picture?

It seems it's not just Bill Clinton's wife who keeps his testicles locked up in a glass jar.

It was “near” Ajp. That would likely be nearer Why.

Honestly I think the Russians are probably emboldened by the fact that we allow Mexico to slap us around.

I think you are correct. Whoever is going to takeseriously the threats from someone who allows his and his own to be flagrantly violated again and again with impunity?

You’re exactly right and it greatly saddens me. Not just because I supported Tancredo financially and worked for him here in Fl but because the nation is headed toward a cultural disaster that will soon be irreversible. As Rush often says, I’m a conservative first and a Republican second. I agree with you - and we’re going to get what we settle for in spades.

They threw a rifle through a window?

Who writes this stuff?

All I’ve heard is that after he took a beating in the Senate with the McCain/Kennedy comprehensive (amnesty) immigration bill, McCain has promised more border enforcement. I don’t know if he means it or is just pandering to the conservatives. I’ve heard and read things that suggest he’s not sincere and just spinning. The only thing I am sure about is that Obama is more of an open-borders freak than Calderon! I suppose that makes McCain the proverbial lesser of two evils.

I never got such a meaning. My impression is that no rifle was thrown at all but put simply pointed thru an open rear window of the vehicle.

Good point. Some people are more concerned with the security of Georgian and Iraqi borders than our own.

They have been doing things like this before the distraction that is Georgia happened.

That is what is getting me, the Mexicans are coming across an undefended border and Mexico is becoming a basketcase. Chavez in South America is working to make his country communist and to cause other nations in Central and South America communist as well.

We have major national security issues in our own hemisphere yet the Chicken Hawks on this forum would want our military to devote resources to some spot in the south of Russia that most Americans can’t find on a map.

I am in the National Guard and I am going to tell you that most military I know would end up voting Democrat if Republicans get us in a war with Russia over South Whatever.
