Pictures of President Bush in the Olympics

I was curious on how NBC portrays Bush during his visit to the Olympics, and especially on how he was portrayed among the athletes (which surely are not all Republicans). Quite surprise that they actually have a section dedicated to W.

What happened to the President’s right elbow? Did he fall off a bike?

Thanks for the link - great pictures.

It’s obvious the Olympic Athletes LOVE this President and that he actually LOVES them. (in the best sense of that word).

Good to see.

Sitting with? I see Bill Gates, Mitt Romney, a woman who might be his sister, his dad, a cranky overdressed Laura, a slightly more relaxed Barbara.

Thanks for posting. Did you see President Bush’s face on the 2nd to last picture? He is making the funniest face.

As always, Mrs. Bush looks lovely. Ditto on daughter Barbara.

Gotta love the moxy of Laura Berg. The rosin hand print is her trademark prank.

There was a lot written yesterday about Misty May trying to get the president to smack her on the butt. Instead, he kind of gave her a backhand to the lower back.

I noticed too that in the first few minutes of NBC’s Olympic coverage they were quite complimentary to our President.

Showing athletes making positive comments about meeting the President and showing the first President Bush in a good light in that he was very early on knowing that China was going to be important on the world state.

Great pictures. He looks relaxed and is obviously enjoying himself. I’m sure the athletes welcome his support and presence during their events. The one of him leaning against the backboard with the female US softball player is my favorite. He looks in his element.

Wow, I’d never have noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it. The last photo has a couple of spots on his elbow, looks like a scrape.

I couldn’t find the reason, but one article mentioned the scrape with a note that he’s a mountain biker.

I watched the interview with my family that he did with Bob Costas...

When it was over, my not so liberal anymore wife and extremely liberal stepdaughter said, “wow. he was impressive. I thought he was supposed to be stupid.”

I looked at them both and said, “I have been telling you for years that this has been a coordinated media campaign to lie about this fine president.”

They agreed and felt that the way the media has lied about him is disgraceful. Better in the last few months of his 8 years than never. But they were completely shocked.

Sad.

I never understand that people think he's stupid. He has a degree from Yale and Harvard MBA, after all. It's sad that when people don't agree on issues they resort to calling names. It's done by the MSM, comedians, actors, etc.

It applies to both Obamas. I never found them stupid. Arrogant, dangerous, and racists, yes, but not stupid.

President Bush's interview, IMHO, was a WOW!!!

From the look on Bob Costa's face I think he was totally taken back by the intelligence, sincerity and charm of President George W. Bush.

I'm also tired of hearing all the pundits talking about should he or shouldn't our President gone to the Olympics. I am proud that our President has gone and even prouder that he isn't just sitting in the stands looking for a photo opt.

Have fun Mr. President!

Re: President Bush’s interview, IMHO, was a WOW!!!

I didn’t get that at all. He was smirking the entire time even when discussing China’s human rights abuses (and making excuses for them).

IMO, it was pathetic.

Also, he flew a jet fighter and speaks a second language.
We have seen what the top Democrats are good for-these
last twenty years.
