This is simply disgusting and when I read it this morning, it litterally made my blood boil.

I wish this kind of usurption of power actually made it into the media, but then again, that would take hard hitting, investigative reporting.

I mean, I would hope you could trust the Police

The police are NOT your friends. The first, last, and ONLY words out of your mouth should be "I want to talk to a lawyer".

As a former resident of Maryland, it is sad to see that today being “The Free State” means that the “state” is “free” to do whatever it damn well pleases.

As a resident from The Peoples Republic of Maryland...I would like to see the MSM pick this and the Berwyn Mayor event along with it.

Maryland needs to be the ant farm under glass...for our country’s citizens to realize what voting for liberals gets you in the form of governmental and law enforcement authority.

Open Carry Lunch

I knew the trans-fat war was heating up, but I didn't know it had gone this far. Now that New York has banned the midday meal, it's good to know that Maryland is still an open carry lunch state.

This frightens me to death. The same thing could well have happened to me. I’m a Maryland resident and have a very old handgun acquired before all these gun laws came into being (Mr. OTTB bought it probably in 1968 and gave it to me during our marriage). I have had quite a supply of ammunition for it but am running low. Now I want to go buy some more—are the cops going to kick in my door at 3 a.m.?

I wish to God I could sell my house and move to Virginia like Mr. Curtis is going to. If I can find a job there, I will. I’m a lady living alone and I have the right to protect myself, since the police can’t.

Unfortunately, we are NOT an open carry state. We are a “select few” conceal carry state as well.

No equal application of the law in Maryland.

Mail order ammo, reload, or go out of state.

I’m a lady living alone and I have the right to protect myself, since the police can’t.

There are quite a few things the police do very well. For one example they Dekalb county police here in GA very professionally shot and killed a 92 year old lady whose home they raided in the early AM hours based on a paid informant's false tip that she was dealing drugs.

Being that she lived in a "bad" area of town, when the cops busted into her home on a no-knock raid she of course thought they were home invaders, (which they actually were) and when she came out of her bedroom holding a pistol she was gunned down by the LE invaders. The LEOs involved are being prosecuted, but the elderly lady who was shot down like a rabid dog is still as dead as she was when the cops left her home that night.

Apparently unConstitutional no-knock raids are fine and dandy as far as the US judiciary is concerned, but killing 92 year old ladies who interfere with those raids isn't.

That is disgusting and simply disheartening.

Just continues to go along with the police actions in New Orleans.

Next time you find yourself in Virginia or Pennsylvania, buy a supply there. Pay cash. I know that in PA at least, I am not required to ID myself when buying ammo

You forgot about the planting of evidence and lying to obtain a search warrant. Other than that very well said!

Wow!

My advice for all of us who live in MD is this:

The first shots should be fired by a video camera, secretly. Have a small video camera ready at all times and if/when things like this happen, put it all over the internet. Exposure to these types of tactics should make them run for cover.

Are you sure they were DeKalb County? I thought that was some of Richard Pennington’s crew from the City of Atlanta.

Move to a free state! I moved from Cali to Florida, and I’m glad I did.

Sucks when your family is here, your friends are here, and your career for the foreseeable future is here.

Either work to change it, put up with it, or move.

I’ve been working to change it, the question is, when do I give up hope for it to work?
