If Cantor proves to be another Cheney, we will be fortunate.

The more the moonbats scream about Cantor, the better I like him.

McCain just talked down Tom Ridge as Veep, so it is down to Pawlenty, Romney, and Cantor.

If it is down to three under consideration, I hope it is
Cantor, Palin and Romney.

I hope McCain picks someone like Cantor or Coburn (though I think he is best left in the Senate. Thompson, though I had given up on his chances, would be a solid choice. Regardless McCain needs someone who will not be afraid of being demonized or afraid of what the press or liberals think of him. Leaders don’t spend their time responding they give their opponents something to respond to.

McCain just talked down Tom Ridge as Veep, so it is down to Pawlenty, Romney, and Cantor. Wasn't Pawlenty in the news recently talking about replacing the gas tax with a mileage tax or something like that? I'd think comments like that would damage his chances.
To: Maelstorm
I like Coburn too but I heard he has life threatening health issues. Can’t remember what exactly.

I don't think it will be Romney, as Romney would over-shadow McAmnesty in size and stature!
He's pick someone less know by the general population.
I alway thought he'd pick his lap-dog, Lindsey Graham.
To: TexasCajun
Cantor:
1. Conservative enough to get us riled up, smart, good-looking, etc.
2. Swing state Virginia (tied today, Battleground poll)
3. Potential for snagging Jewish votes, which is a 2-for-1 (vote lost to Obama, gained by McCain) -— key in swing states
4. Less know by the general population, as you noted
5. Good friend with McCain, get along, no hard campaign feelings.
6. Heir in waiting 2012
Looks like a logical choice to me.

You can see that the Dems want to run against Bush/Cheney again.
I would like be happy to run against Kerry/Edwards again, but I suspect that Obama and his running mate will not be up to it.
To: MeanWestTexan
I smell smoke and see mirrors . . . . .
Expect a name out of the blue, i.e. Thompson, Hunter, Hutchison.
