Sorry, nothing herein regarding Speaker Pelousy's stake in the company.
mark for later
"Specifically, Nancy Pelosi has a couple thousand shares in Clean Energy Fuels Corp, which is T. Boones company that sells fleet natural gas refueling services. Right now, the stock has been doing ok, especially when compared to the rest of the market: Google Finance chart of CLNE since inception" http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/political-view/80276-nancy-pelosi-invests-energy-scheme-water-grab-t-boone-pickens.html
"This means that Pelosi could have purchased around 20,000 shares at $3.86, or $50,000 to $100,000 worth, which are now worth 300% more than their original value. Nancy Pelosi says that she is trying to save the planet and prevent global warming, but the reality is that, according to disclosure statements, in May 2007 she invested in T. Boone Pickens clean energy fuels corp., CLNE, which is the sole sponsor of a proposal in California to funnel $5 billion in state funds and $5 billion in Federal funs to this corporation which will indirectly help them create a giant wind farm in the Texas panhandle. An overlooked story in November of 2007 shows that the T. Boone Pickens plan involves the private control of water, which Pickens wants to be able to sell to big cities via giant water pipelines which will be built on land seized under eminent domain."
That sounds awful evil. Letting these landowners own their water. We better send the state guard out there and confiscate it for the state.
In Texas, the Rule of Capture allows the landowner control of the groundwater. But, the groundwater is regulated by the many Groundwater Conservation Districts thru-out the state.
Pickens and the 100 plus landowners in Mesa Water are in the Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District and have permits to produce the water, if they can find a buyer.
You have been around here long enough to know that no one is interested in that.
I'm just an old trooper trying to make a buck in retirement and believe that Mr. Pickens knows a helluvalot more about the energy business than anybody else, therefore I am long in CLNE and WPRT, which was just listed on NASDAQ today. I'm for drilling, nukes and all of the above but I'm also a realist facing massive obstruction from evniro/nimby wackos.
You are far more persuasive and quick in your arguments than I, so I will just lurk on this issue and post articles I feel are pertinent, without comment, and with your permission, ping you.
Cheers, FRiend!
