DETROIT A judge ruled Friday there is enough evidence for Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to stand trial on two felony assault charges stemming from a confrontation with two investigators.
The investigators testified that an angry Kilpatrick shoved one of them into the other and made racial remarks while they were trying to deliver a subpoena in the mayor's perjury case to a Kilpatrick friend last month.
Judge Ronald Giles made the ruling after hearing several hours of testimony and arguments in 36th District Court. The mayor remains free on bond ahead of an Aug. 22 arraignment in Wayne County Circuit Court.

Does this mean he won’t be serving as a Superdelegate at the DNC?
Is there time to appoint an alternate?
“...Kilpatrick shoved one of them into the other and made racial remarks...”
Hate crime?
;^)
Racial remarks, is Mr. White, white or is Mr. White black.
Which one? What racial remarks? Did he call him a honkey or a, you no the N-word.
I thought he called a black female-a traitor to her race.
Watched this online. Defense desperately grasping at straws. They even tried to suggest the incident was a setup!
And for $700 an hour, defense was really weak.
After Kilpatrick introduces Obama at the May 2007 meeting of the Detroit Economic Club.
“I want to first acknowledge your great mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick,” Barack Obama
when asked what the mayor said during the incident, the sheriff’s detective repeated what the mayor said, and the local radio station cut the live broadcast http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080815/METRO/808150452/1361

I am offended by bloggers claims that the body of the alleged Sasquatch or Bigfoot being shown and reported on this week is actually that of a person who worked as a body double for Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and that this person would have attended the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO as a Superdelegate from Michigan had he or she not been assasinated by the DNC out of the fear that he or she would have been given the opportunity to speak in support of Barack Obamas candidacy for the presidency of the United States of America. I am so offended!
I had mentioned years ago that Detroit should lose its right to vote for a while. BRB

Woman motorist jumps to her death
Onlookers cheer as bridge tragedy unfolds
By Jennifer Loven , Associated Press Writer
DETROIT — As dozens of onlookers gathered, and some cheered, three men pulled a woman from her car, ripped off her clothes, then chased her until she either jumped or was forced off a bridge to her death. None of the 40 or so passersby tried to help Deletha Word during the confrontation that began with two minor traffic accidents early Saturday on Belle Isle, said police Sgt. John Morel.
A man who arrived late tried to rescue her from the Detroit River but couldn’t reach her. The 33-year-old woman’s body, missing a leg, was found several miles downstream later that morning.

[she was beaten with a crowbar]
I knew then, back in 2003, that Detroit was unable to elect its own leaders. Some regions will continue to deviate further from their moral compass. This is largely due to our Kelo-Roe Court System. And Balkanization will make it occur more quickly. I am not a particularly moral man, I confess. But in a way, that helps me understand when people turn into animals.
What? Economic club in Detroit?
Detroit Economic Club=Secret underground society outlawed by Michigan Dems generatons ago
