The Obama campaign was in full spin mode this week touting its decision to allow Hillary Clinton to have a roll call vote at the convention so her delegates can register their support of her.
"It's an olive branch that we think will pay dividends in party unity," one Democratic congressman told me. I'm not so sure. Many Clinton supporters will be appreciative of the symbolic gesture, but others such as those who unofficially call themselves Pumas (Party Unity My Ass) may see it as an opportunity to make more trouble for Mr. Obama both on and off the convention floor.
"The one thing that Obama should never have agreed to is a roll-call vote with Hillary Clinton," says Jeff Birnbaum, a Washington Post columnist. Mr. Birnbaum nonetheless admits to being "so grateful that we are going to have a story, which is Hillary Clinton's attempt tacitly to take over the Obama victory, and that [story] will go through virtually every day of the convention" given how frequently Bill and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to appear before delegates.

Even Obama knows it. He can't seem to look at a TV camera recently without leaning and dipping to one side, as if to dodge a punch (or a projectile).
Why does it strike me that Obama is going to be the one to call for party unity and leave the race, fully endorsing a Clinton candidacy? Then Clinton turns around and says that Obama would make an excellent choice, giving him 8 years as Hillary’s understudy.
It scares the dickens out of me, but I would not be suprised if it goes down that way. Obama is nowhere ready for primetime and Clinton as well as the rest of the RAT establishment knows it. In addition, she has been free from negative press the last 3 months so the press can hide her for a while longer.
Na...she just wants the VP slot. If Obama gives it to her, then he really better watch out.
If the “Red Queen” cuts the “Messiah in Training” off at the knees and manages a coupe to take the ‘rat nomination, then all we will hear for the next several years is how she stole the election.
Whether she wins or loses the White House after that will not make a difference, the ‘rat party will be fragmented and disorganized for ever more.
My money’s on the “Red Queen” pulling it off.
Hope is not an winning strategey and change without a goal is what should be done to get there not what to do when the contest’s over.
I tend to agree. Why the mainstream media doesn’t see this coming is beyond me.
If I were Obama, I would not have done it. I believe that this is a decision that he will regret.

I imagine as the roll-call vote is taken and hillary gets near securing enough votes as the nominee, obama maniacs will start fistfights and throwing chairs.

Hillary is evil and she'd be detrimental to the country if elected president. However, the Democrats must have figured out that Barak has gone from Hope to Hoax.
Obama’s handlers are usually more clever than this. It’s the most boneheaded move since the Rezko deal. Obama will regret it.
