Barack Obama had a mini Bob Dole moment after the Saddleback presidential forum the other night. Asked on the Christian Broadcasting Network about a controversy over his opposition to legislation in Illinois protecting infants born alive after surviving abortions, an irked Obama replied, "I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying."
Obama's line recalled Dole's plaint on national TV after the first George Bush beat him in New Hampshire in 1988, "Tell him to stop lying about my record." Dole's outburst would live in infamy as evidence of his distemper. Obama's problem isn't his temperament, but the unsustainable exertions necessary to attempt to square his reasonable-sounding rhetoric on abortion with the extremism of his record.
Asked by Pastor Rick Warren when a baby gets rights, Obama said, "I'm absolutely convinced that there is a moral and ethical element to this issue." This is a crashing banality couched as thoughtfulness. If Obama is so sensitive to the moral element of the issue, why does he want to eliminate any existing restrictions on the procedure?
In 2007, Obama told the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that the Freedom of Choice Act would be the first piece of legislation that he would sign as president. The act would not only codify Roe v. Wade, but wipe out all current federal, state and local restrictions on abortion that pass muster under Roe, including the Hyde Amendment prohibiting federal funding of abortion. This is not the legislative priority of a man keenly attuned to the moral implications of abortion.
At Saddleback, Obama said determining when a baby gets rights is "above his pay grade."

I'm absolutely convinced that there is a moral and ethical element to the issue of when a baby gets rights ... but deciding when a baby gets rights is above my pay grade ... so the first piece of legislation I will sign as president will wipe out all restrictions on killing unborn babies!
If the MSM is forced to report this nObama is done, IMO. The DBM will be very careful and give McCain no opportunity to bring this up in the debates. Afterall, it’s not important/true/relevant until NYTimes, AP, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN etc. say that it is important.
The only objection I have is that he wants to take the United States with him.
For that, he is my implacable enemy.
A package of Born Alive bills was introduced three times during Obama’s tenure.
The cornerstone bill was the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which defined legal personhood. This definition was identical to the federal BAIPA (1) which was drafted from the definition of “live birth” created by the World Health Organization in 1950 (2) and adopted by the United Nations in 1955 (3)....
Here I will only post links to Obama’s actions and votes on the cornerstone bill, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. The bill number changed every year it was reintroduced.

Obama’s verbal oppostion to Born alive, (7) “And if were placing a burden on the doctor that says you have to keep alive even a previable child as long as possible and give them as much medical attention as as is necessary to keep that child alive, then were probably crossing the lines in terms of unconstitutionality.” March 30, 2001

Senate Bill 1662 ( 9 ), Born Alive Infant Protection Act
Go here to view Obama’s “no” vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee (10) on March 6, 2002. (ABC inadvertently coped bill #1663, a companion bill. The vote for the Born Alive bill, #1662, was identical.)

2003
Senate Bill 1082 (13), Born Alive Infant Protection Act
Democrats took control of the IL Senate with the 2002 elections. They sent Born Alive to the infamously liberal Health & Human Services Committee, chaired by Barack Obama (14).
As can be seen on the Actions docket (15), Obama held Born Alive on March 6, 2003, from even being voted on in committee. It is also important to note from the docket that on March 13, 2003, Obama stopped the senate sponsor from adding the lately discussed clarification paragraph (16) from the federal BAIPA, to make the bills absolutely identical.

I guess the proper thing to do then is to...
'ERR ON THE SAFE SIDE', right????
“The DBM will be very careful and give McCain no opportunity to bring this up in the debates.”
Since when does a question have anything to do with the answer a candidate gives in debates. McCain should use his closing statement to tell the story of Jill Stanek and emphasis BHOs embrace of infanticide.
"I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying."
Yes, this is a situation where folks are lying: you and you handlers are lying.
Careful, stocktrader. You’re asking Obama to think logically from a moral base. ;-/

That would be awesome!
Whammo! Nain, hammer, head.
That's Obama. A big nothing. A zero. A platitude-spouting, neo-Marxist, empty suit.
It's shocking that Obama's blather passes for thoughtfulness with 45% of the voting public, that is, until you look at the demographics and realize that those closest to school-age are voting for this zero.
LOL! I'm laughing, but I'm getting PO'd at the same time... I really can't take this guy.
Now we know why Obama voted present instead of yes or no on so many bills in the Illinois legislature. He wasn't paid enough!
There, fixed it.
Obama can kiss his rear end goodbye as far as the presidency goes. I am so glad that they have voted him as their standard bearer because we will sweep the elections. Hillary would have been more difficult to beat.
