Actually, even if they didn't intended to, they may have done a very good thing. Typically, everytime any congress acts, we get screwed.

Considering some of the idiocy that previously has come out of the Congress; this is not a totally bad thing.
Pelosi’s Congress has moved from Do Nothing to Do Less than Nothing.
But I have finally figured out Pelosi’s plan to reduce gasoline prices, and it has worked great.
Her plan was to so thoroughly obstruct Republicans from passing any oil legislation that President Bush would rescind the long-standing OCS EO, and the pubbies would make a public stand in favor of single issue drilling legislation, thus chilling speculators so much that oil prices would drop by more than 20% from just talking about it.
Masterfully done, Nine-Percent Nancy. You truly have single-handedly brought down gasoline prices by forty cents per gallon, just by being, well, you.

Is this good headline or a bad one? I’d say good. Ought to raise their approval rating.
Correction: Gasoline prices have dropped by more than seventy cents per gallon.
I understated the success of the Pelosi Gasoline Price Reduction Plan. Who can doubt that her fellow Dimocrats will re-elect her as Speaker next January . . . . well, unless the Republicans win back the majority because voters misinterpret the true cause of the lower gasoline prices, and give them the credit.
A congress that passes little legislation, steals less money and liberty from us.
This trend is encouraging. Now if we can only get Congress to meet for only 4 months every year.

I sincerely hope that there are enough Americans out there who are not too busy playing with their Wiis to pay attention to what has happened since 2006, because a critical point has been proven here: liberals are poisonous to this nation and oppose what is best for this country (you shall know them by their fruits).
By the same token, RINOs who spend most of their time schmoozing with the Democrats are just as dangerous.
You don't negotiate with terrorists, and you don't make deals with Democrats. Neither have resulted in more safety, and both have resulted in more chaos and harm.
In my lifetime, almost everytime Congress passed a bill it was to take more of my money or more of my freedom.
The fewer "bills" that come out of Congress the better, as far as I'm concerned.
In fact, the only bills I want them to pass now are bills to undo all the damage they've done in the previous 50 years.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea.
The less time those miscreants spend in DC thinking of ways to take my money or infringe on my freedom, the better.
