WEDNESDAY, Aug. 20, 2008, 6:18 p.m. By Larry Sandler City refers 32 more to DA for voter fraud
Milwaukee's election chief turned 32 more voter registration workers in to the district attorney's office for possible prosecution today, after they tried to submit falsified registration cards.
That brings to 39 the number of registration workers under scrutiny, and the number could grow, Election Commission Executive Director Sue Edman said. An organization warned the commission staff late this afternoon about some questionable cards in the latest batch collected by its workers, Edman said.
All of the workers targeted for investigation were paid employees of two liberal groups running voter registration drives, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now and the Community Voters Project.
In many cases, the groups have said they caught the fraud and fired the workers before handing the cards over to the commission. The groups also have said the problems represent a small fraction of the tens of thousands of cards collected by hundreds of workers.
But in a presidential election year, the incidents have revived partisan debate over Wisconsin's voter registration rules, and over the question of whether requiring photo identification for voters would prevent fraud or suppress turnout.
Of the 32 ACORN workers referred Wednesday to Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf, Edman said:
# 17 apparently filled out applications and then signed the cards themselves. That involved two to four cards in each case.
# 12 submitted cards for individuals who later told ACORN they never filled out an application. That involved one card in each case.
# One submitted a card for a dead voter. That was the second such case; a voters project worker previously submitted a card for a deceased voter.
# One was apparently making up driver's license numbers for an unknown number of voters.
# One submitted about half a dozen applications for voters who were already registered.
With Wednesday's action, Edman has now referred 35 ACORN workers to Landgraf. She also has referred one worker from the voters project and one whose employer is unknown, and she plans to refer two more from the voters project.
But more workers from the voters project will come under scrutiny, because the group identified problems with a handful of the 7,500 cards it turned in today, Edman said.
In the city that had a well connected Dem staffer from NY buying votes with cigarettes and the sons of the former Dem mayor and the current Dem congresswoman Gwen Moore convicted of slashing the tires of a dozen or so Republican vehicles on the day of the election in 2004.
It starting to become more apparent why Wisconsin always seems to appear to be more liberal around election time.
Milwaukee has widespread runs of voters from the colleges voting in multiple precincts, kids and “activists” coming over from Madison to vote again and also voters from Illinois coming up to get another one in (at least one of these was convicted last time through.)
And then there’s the felons.

ony 32?
Thirty nine people, perhaps more, from one organization involved in similar criminal activity. When does it become a conspiracy or qualify for RICO status?
Inside Obamas Acorn
By their fruits ye shall know them.

What if Barack Obamas most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, youd know what I was talking about. Acorn is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because Acorn works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. Acorn likes it that way. And so, Id wager, does Barack Obama.

Doesn’t this put a slightly different context on the supposed injustice when the Bush Administration wanted to fire a handful of US Attorneys??
Imagine a US Attorney who was actually doing his job and enforcing Federal laws. In Wisconsin, a US Attorney would cared could simply convene a grand jury and get an indictment against ACORN and the other group as well as the leaders, financiers and workers of these organizations.
This is a ‘continuing criminal enterprise’ in Federal prosecutor parlance.
Why are we wasting our time filing criminal charges against one person here, one person there, etc, etc, etc? How do you get 35 individuals who commit the same crime without there being a ringleader? Do you pop 35 guys dealing crack on the street corner without looking for the kingpin?
Madison, WI is just one of a dozen (at least) cities where there is rampant voter fraud. Both parties know about it. But if the GOP complains about it they are accused of being racists since the DNC uses minorities to do the dirty work. And they run it through various front groups like ACORN or Southwest Voter Project so there is no direct connection to DNC money. And then the party and the democrat candidates simply look the other way while hundreds of thousands of new voter registration cards are submitted.
This is one of the largest continuing crimes going on in politics along other such famous ones as ‘earmarks’ and big dollar book advances for elected officials (think Pelosi & Reid).
My thoughts exactly. If ACORN isn't a criminal conspiracy I'm the Pope.
You know Hitler, Eichman and Himmler were fabulous “community organizers”. All able bodied jews follow me, the others of you please follow Heir Heidrich or Dr. Mengele.
You should always be weary of those who with to “organize” your community. You have a patriotic and Constitutional obligation to safeguard the freedoms outlayed in the Bill of Rights if you were born here.
The left/liberals/Democrats are all unified in the fact that they wish to “change” the status quo and want to “help” you. These are all keywords you should be listening for. There are several million jews, Russianns and Chinese who would agree with me.....Oh wait, they can’t, they are all dead.

Anyone?
Thanks for posting. BUMP! BUMP!
They’re probably gearing up for Labor Day weekend when the Greekfest takes over the town ...
It just makes me wonder if this kind of shenanigans, on a nationwide scale, is what the “community organizer” meant when he said today that McCain has no idea what he’s up against.
I remember Dems were giving cigarettes to street people in Milwaukee and Madison to vote for Gore in 2000. They were videoed and shown on Fox News.
Is Wisconsin wanting to be “Chicago to the North”.
We lost Wiscon very closely the last two elections. We win this time and things like this that cut rat voter fraud will help us get over the top.
Any of you who are located in Wisconsin (or nearby, for that matter) and want to help fight fraud on election day, please FReepmail me.
